Arms are probably the body part that everyone seems to care about the most. Your arm is basically made up of your bicep, tricep, and forearm. However, your bicep and tricep each have separate components so you should select exercises to target each area.

The “bi” in bicep means two because your bicep has two heads. There’s the long head and the short head. Barbell curls and dumbbell curls hit the long head. Preacher curls hit the short head. You should make sure you hit both heads for complete bicep development.

The “tri” in tricep means three because, well, you guessed it...your tricep is a freak with three heads 😂. Like the bicep, you should incorporate an exercise that hits all three. Choose an exercise where you extend your elbow overhead, straight down, and in between.

For forearms, I find that most people will develop them just by doing compounds like deadlifts. However, you could also do hammer curls which will help your forearms in addition to your brachialis which will also help your bicep look more developed. You could do wrist curls if you want but I think it’s probably overkill.

My delicious protein smoothie against a backdrop of pineapple mint 💚

After a moment of panic when I realized the rest of the family used up all the spinach this morning, I concocted this beauty.

Cucumber, watermelon, flaxseeds, blueberries, blackcurrants, raspberries, spirulina, greens powder, fibre support and vegan chocolate protein powder. 
And it's absolutely delicious.

Feeling much better now, I'm glad I listened to my body earlier. My mood has really lifted and I feel less tired 🙏

On the days when you end up going out for dinner and have a high carb, high fat meal, or decide to have a couple drinks or break into a small binge to celebrate a birthday or holiday by chowing down on some cake and ice cream, this can cause you to be low on your daily protein goal when your carb and fat goals are already hit for the day, if not exceeded. In this case, these are 5 things that I stick to if I’m trying to still hit my protein without going over on carbs and fat. WHEY ISOLATE, CHICKEN BREAST, TURKEY BREAST, SHRIMP & EGG WHITES. All of these are nearly strongly protein dominant, and can help fill the gap if your protein is falling behind for the day.

Remember, if you have leftover protein at the end of the day and don’t want to eat any of these protein dominant foods, or your simply not hungry, that’s okay! You can always carry that extra protein over and try to complete them by the end of the week. Your daily macros don’t have to be perfect. You can always try to add them in later as well. If you fail to hit your daily numbers don’t worry! Just try to hit your weekly macro goals instead!
