A small part of the living room in David Geffen’s Jack L. Warner Estate on Angelo Drive in Beverly Hills. Geffen bought the Warner Bros. founder’s 1930s mansion for $47.5 million in 1990 (some sort of record I guess) and rumour has it he spent close to the same amount renovating the property. Not sure about that but I do know that the painting above the fireplace is Jasper Johns’ ’Untitled (Flag)’. Executed in 1971 - after seventeen years experimentation with flag paintings - this version is quite interesting. The color has been replaced with different shades of gray, the flag is rotated vertical, and it has further been flipped (the stars on the wrong side). Interiors by Rose Tarlow.
The fragmentation of our attention..daily visual oversaturation.. many artists in one instagram feed..one artfair..multiple open tabs..click.... mixture of the digital and physical in our culture. #🎨

(Private collection - Sold artwork). Happy Friday! Slowly but surely this painting is coming along.. I am using several different mediums that take longer to dry and I must allow them ample time to dry in between layers before I can proceed with my next step.. the trick is to learn to be patient - if I ever will.. 😁☝️ perhaps I should play “Patience” by Guns N’ Roses or “Time is on my side” by The Rolling Stones? Nevertheless, have a terrific weekend friends! 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #paintinginprogress#artistlife#texturedpainting#tobecontinued#privatecollection#soldart#soldartwork
