To start: Place block (or stack of four hardcover books) lengthwise under the top of a bolster or stack of pillows. You'll want to prop it up on an incline. Sit with your back against the low end of bolster and your feet together on the floor. Bend your knees and slowly allow your legs to fall open toward the floor. Release your arms to your sides, which will cause your chest to open and your heart area to soften. Close your eyes and focus on your breath.
Birth plans and birth demands. “Something that comes up a lot in the antenatal work that I do is the language around birth plans. Women often question the idea of a birth ‘plan’, instead feeling that they should remain flexible and go with the flow- go into birth with low expectations so they won’t be disappointed. On the flip side, many women who have had difficult or traumatic births feel understandably angry that the plans they had carefully formulated went out of the window, and often express a sense that they were ‘set up to fail’ as they hadn’t been aware of potential negative outcomes. Both lead us to question the usefulness of birth planning, and even whether it could be harmful.” Dr Emma Svanberg (aka The Mumologist) is a perinatal clinical psychologist working in London. She has contributed some brilliant tips and expertise to #YourNoGuiltPregnancyPlan on everything from the way our brains change in pregnancy to how to prepare for changes to our relationship with our partners.
In this guest blog Emma talks about birth planning & I love her approach which mirrors the one I take. Planning is important-plans for exactly how, when & where your baby arrives need some flexibility. Plans for how kindly you are cared for do not.
Read more of Emma’s birth planning thoughts - as well as her birth demands for all women via the link in my bio. Here are a few to start you off: - Please stop speaking about pregnant women and new mothers as if we are all the same person and want the same things -Please consider my active consent for interventions and also any lack of intervention you are considering. I would like to be fully informed of all aspects of my care -please make sure I have access to all of the information available about different birth choices and outcomes. -Please talk to me about risks and benefits of different interventions. It’s ok to tell me stuff that might seem a bit frightening, if it will help me feel informed about the options available to me.
If I am choosing something that you disagree with, please take the time to find out why I am making that choice before outlining your position.
The key to experiencing the powerful benefits of essential oils is consistency. I love having them everywhere in our home. I have the ones I use for sleep next to our bed, the ones I use in place of perfume on my dresser, the ones I plan to use when the baby comes in her nursery, the ones I use for my face in my bathroom drawer, and the main station is in the kitchen. I use them everyday and/or multiples times through the day- not to mention all the products that we have switched over that are infused by oils- Thieves toothpaste, Thieves cleaner, dish soap, laundry detergent, and on and on! .
The more often we use them, the more influence and impact they have on our bodies.
✨Have you been told pain is just a 'normal' part of pregnancy ?✨
I hear it daily from clients and it's everywhere online. I want you to know - pain IS NOT something you should have to put up with in pregnancy. Yes relaxin happens and our belly and chest grows which causes your body to adjust how to stand, walk etc BUT that still doesn't mean pain needs to happen or persist. Seeing a physiotherapist, chiropractor or massage therapist can all be a part of helping create a comfortable pregnancy. ✔️
One of the most common pain issues is pelvis pain or low back pain with turning in bed. ✔️
✨Check out link in profile for a quick video I did about how to use your glutes (bum muscles) to make turning in bed less painful 🙌🏼
Let's face it - when it comes to social media it is nearly impossible NOT to run a comparison in your mind as you scroll. I find this especially true during pregnancy when I see super skinny or ripped pregnant ladies. I have to be very mindfully of the automatic thoughts that come up like - she is doing a better job at the gym while pregnant or she must really have her eating more under control than me. 🤰
When those thoughts do come up, I have to change the conversation. I remind myself that my journey is a unique one and my body is the only one like it in the world. I'm not supposed to be super skinny or ripped. And frankly, who really cares? At this point, the most important thing isn't what I think strangers think when they look at me but am I trying to be the best host for this growing baby. That is my priority. Embracing a changing body and ultimately adding body fat and pounds isn't always easy on our ego but when we shift perspective and watch those thoughts in our minds, it gets easier to embrace. ❤️ No matter where you are on your own journey to being the best verision of you, check the scrolling and practice more self love. Your mind body and spirit will thank you! ( 📸 @jennakutcher )
Fazup does not affect the quality of the reception under the normal usage conditions. In certain conditions where the reception is poor or with mobiles that struggle to get reception, Fazup can have a small impact on the signal (exposure to waves is greatest when coverage is limited, so Fazup has to work hardest in these situations). In some cases, Fazup can improve reception quality.
The phenomenon is very marginal in comparison to the high protection that Fazup provides on a daily basis. The fact that the impact on reception is so low is actually on the major assets of our technology with regards to the very high level of SAR reduction.

WHAT TO EXPECT WEDNESDAY 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Pre-eclampsia is a serious condition that can appear from one day to the next one when pregnant and can put at risk your life and the baby's.
Thankfully enough, I didn't suffer from it but the possibility of having it is what got me in the hospital where they saw they had to take my baby out asap.
Watch out for the following symptoms, especially in the last couple of months and go to your doctor if you feel them: - more frecuent headaches
- more frequent dizzy spells - excesive and bloading
- blood preassure starts going up
If you feel these or any other abnormality, go to the doctor. If you are not satisfied, don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion like I did. When pregnant, always go with your instincts if something doesn't feel right.
The reasons from preeclampsia are not known. However, a healthy diet, tons of water and moderate daily exercise such as walking can help prevent it.
Also, preeclampsia can happen as well right after giving birth and on rare occassions up to 8 weeks after. So once you give birth, continue to watch out for those symptoms.
Hope that helped! Have a beautiful #Wednesday !

Regular physical activity and a balanced diet during pregnancy can improve health, reduce the risk of unwanted weight gain, and may make baby delivery easier. Consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program.
