This weekend was the first time I’ve had shakeology in the last 2 weeks (other than mixing a little bit of it into some #131method peanut butter fat bombs). No, I didn’t forget to place my order for this month, BUT I did try a completely new method of eating and learned a lot of really good information about PHASING your diet.
I’ve been drinking this shake almost every day for the last 18 months. Once I started drinking it, I noticed a major change in my health and it helped me to lose some weight I was trying to lose. For the last two weeks I took a break from shakeology in order to test a ketogenic method which requires you to significantly limit your carbohydrate intake. Even though shakeology only has 11g of carbs, not drinking it helped me get into ketosis a bit faster.
Another reason why I stopped drinking it is because sometimes our bodies need a break from certain foods, especially if you’ve been consuming it for a long period of time.
Just as your muscles need a break from working out and exercises, your body needs a break from certain foods.
Now that phase 1 of the #131method Is over, I’m back to drinking this yummy superfood shake and encouraging those of you who haven’t tried it to give it a chance. And those of you who have been drinking it for a while, give it a break for a week or 2 and see what happens!
