You can learn a lot about yourself by simply “listening” to your body. For example, which foods cause sensitivity, things that make you retain water, bloat, or even foods/drinks that cause your heart to behave differently. I’ve found that my high blood pressure is affected by too much sugar; I really swell up/retain water when I travel; orange juice, Cheerios and potato chips give me indigestion. I try to stay away from foods that throw me off, because my body is telling me something isn’t right. Sometimes eating things that cause an uncomfortable reaction can cause inflammation, fatigue, and sickness. .

Coming back from a one day trip, and the travel + change in elevation threw me off today. Even though I was tired, and had a headache, I made sure to do some cardio and drink lots of water to get back to my own “normal.” .

Decided again today to skip the gym this morning and instead run outside for my AM cardio🏃🏼‍♀️Usually when I do cardio at the gym I drink my BCAAs while I’m sweating my bum off. But since I wasn’t going to run with a full water bottle, I put off the BCAAs till after. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I LOVE 💕experimenting with proteins and recipes and thought to do the same with my BCAAs... Oh My Gosh, I’m so glad I did! It was sooooo yummy/ refreshing 🥒and uber simple🤤👍🏽 Check out the recipe below.

My 3 favorite ways to dress my delicious deli meat…FfL’s mashed avocado spread 🥑 (you guys know I LOVE avocados. couldn’t live without them. they make my belly do the happy dance.), FfL’s honey mustard 🍯 and pesto. There’s so many healthy ways you can top sandwiches. Next time you get your sandwich on, substitute the mayo or cheese for something new! For me, I used to be cheese obsessed when it came to my sandwiches. 1/2 of my sandwich would be cheese and only 1/4 of it meat and veggies. After trying out some delicious new condiments, I made the healthy switch. Not only do I cut a bunch of calories by simply eliminating heavy condiments and cheese, I always find it fun to get creative in the kitchen. While I haven’t said sayonara to cheese completely- it’s not my main flavor source! 🧀 .
