I think it’s really easy for us to get caught up on what’s going wrong, what we don’t feel like doing, what we are not happy with as opposed to focusing on all of the good. If there’s anything that hard times have taught me its that they don’t get better when you’re thinking about how hard things are. It’s all about positive vibes, positive energy, and focusing on the good. I’ll say it til I’m blue in the face, what you focus on you create. If you want a positive, happy life then positive vibes are what you need to focus your 100% on. This was taken some time between April or may of 2017. And the last time I was somewhat happy with my physique.
I could do about 20 wide as can be pull-ups. I was so proud of myself. I was also in the works of my second competition.
This is when I started feeling another wave of depression creeping back. But I was in denial. I kept pushing and neglecting the care I needed.
I ended up bailing out of my prep, and pitied myself.
Fast forward to now, beginning to work out again and I guess how many pull ups I did yesterday?....2.
It was a huge blow to the ego.i was extremely upset and wanted to leave. However its important to note that health is never a destination and is always a journey. We are blessed to be able to go to the gym and work on our physical health.
