May a good vision catch you
May a benevolent vision take hold of you, and move you
May a deep and full vision come over you
And burst open around you..
May you awaken into the story that surrounds,
May you awaken into the beautiful story.

Ok so for Wednesday, aka Work It Wednesday (I like to think I'm clever), I'm posting about my diet. Since graduating highschool and going through my first year and a half of college I put on around 30lbs... like what?! I forgot how hard loosing weight was and put that behind me when we were offered free French toast for finals week. Like, come on. So starting in January I said "screw it." and with the help of my sisters we got back into healthy eating. Since January, I've lost the weight I had put on plus about 5 extra #BLESSED 👏👏 so I thought I'd share a little on dieting and what it's like bc I wish someone had helped me out bc this is hard and I feel like it took me so long to figure out my body that maybe I can help someone figure it out quicker. Idk🤷♀️. ANYWAYS, my diet slowly turned to paleo. I didn't quit cold turkey on my Taco Bell, I just started limiting myself and every week took away "junk" or bread or dairy until I was completely paleo. I've changed my portion sizes drastically and the times I eat! Now I eat once every two hours but small meals. For breakfast I'll eat a homemade protein muffin (if y'all want recipes let me know and I'll post it) or a smoothie. Then around two hours later I'll eat a hard boiled egg or a celery stalk with hummus. Two hours later, and you guessed it, I'll have lunch. My lunch is pictured above and I have half a whole wheat 8" wrap, some sriracha carrot hummus (bless whoever made it) and some cooked deli meat bc #poor . And my diet is the same for the rest of the day. When I first started this I was hungry ALL THE TIME, but once my body kicked the junk cravings and I was eating the right things, and amount, my body shed the fat like crazy! Obviously I have my weak days, like two days ago I was eating Dairy Queen. AND THAT IS OK!! Everyone has their falls but one bad day doesn't equal to giving up. Just pick it up the next day. I've definitely had my bad weeks too. I'd feel so discouraged that I'd want to give up but then I'll go on Pinterest for some tips and motivation and I'd be ready to start again. As for gym, I haven't stepped foot in one since January. Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% gym. 👇 more below
Design+Build Tip: Showers often seem to lack enough storage. Bottles and bars of soap end up on the floor or a bench or a wire hanging rack over the showerhead. The new design options around shower or tub niches can be an ideal solution! When planning a niche, Senior Designer, Gloria Carlson explains, “that this is an opportune time to have a Designer help you think about a few things:
Framing: Will the niche fit between normally framed studs, which are typically 16” apart, or will it be wider and need special framing?
Storage needs: How tall are the bottles you will be storing (Costco sizes?), and do you need separate spaces for individual items or users?
Tile details: How will the edges finish with your intended tile layout, and are the inside back and sides finished with the field tile or a decorative accent?
Niches should not be against exterior walls, as the opening will replace wall insulation.
With proper planning, a niche can provide very practical storage as well as a great visual accent!” This long shower niche provides lots of space and visual interest! Here are a few different styles to pique your interest and help you decide which style is right for you and your shower. All that’s missing is a rubber ducky! 🐥 #designbuild#hgtv#bathroomsofinstagram#shower#showerniche#porcelain#tile#smallbathroomstorage#storage#luxury#bayarea#contractors#interiordesign#universaldesign#pebbletile#hgtv#paloalto#siliconvalley#contractorsofinstagram
