Motivation Monday No 11! This week it’s the beautiful @shea_dancer. If you don’t follow her already you really should! 🖤Here’s a question: How did you find me on Instagram? Or did I find you? 🖤 Tell me some stories!

NEW WORK! This series of images is from a one day project I worked on a couple of weeks ago, where I had the opportunity to shoot behind the scenes stills for @_ballet_central_ in Birmingham’s Crescent Theatre.
What better way to start the week than by seeing a photo of me. When I work on jobs now, I try to get a shot me doing it, as I realised I’ve been to some amazing places and I don’t really ever get any pics of ME there, hence this one. Chris from Ballet Central then sent me an email asking if I had a quote to attach to it, just like the rest of the Ballet Central dancers. I chose "The photographs are already there, you just have to find them”. Just to expand on this BRIEFLY, this is something I really do believe - when I’m shooting, the photographs are already there, and you just have to figure out where they are. So often, I look at the back of the camera, and I say things like ‘ARGH we’re CLOSE!’, and ‘it’s in there somewhere’ because I really am properly *searching* for this right thing - and when I find one, it’s really satisfying. It’s a feeling - I KNOW when one’s there, it’s just trying to figure out how to capture it in the camera. It’s hard to trying to explain an intangible feeling with words.
Thanks @_Ballet_Central_, @jennaleechoreographer, @christophermarney, and the rest of the team and dancers for this great project! I’ll find a place to post more. Maybe on my blog? I’m sure I say that every time.
