I gotta get REAL with you for a sec about FAUX PLANTS: I use em. I love em. I full on support + encourage you to do the same! 🌿🙌🏻🍃
Even if you have a superb green thumb like @jacksplants, - or if you’re a serial plant killer (or somewhere in between), everyone can incorporate beautiful faux plants into their home/style. .
Just a *couple* things to think about to keep it tasteful and not tacky:
. Go for QUALITY: it might be more expensive, but it’ll last you a long time and won’t look as plastic-y!.
. Place it somewhere it would actually grow if it was real .
. Change the pot and repot it using real dirt . Don’t forget to dust! (Dead giveaway 🙄) .
. Mix it amongst your real plants will help it seem like they are more natural!
Found a little surprise on the Masdevallia glandulosa I picked up over the weekend with my Ecuagenera order.
For some reason all the non-pleurothallids I ordered came with no viable roots (but some have flower spikes), but the pleurothallids mostly all had good roots. It seems opposite of what you might expect, although I've heard this is common with orchids from ecuagenera.
Still, I'm super excited about all my new pleuros 😊
