Balance and focus with Pilates bicycles and I added the magic circle with my client @sheilaeeek. Not pulling on the neck with the magic circle. Opposite elbow to opposite knee, cueing her to extend leg. Challenging her overall physically and improving core stabilizer function. This was a progression from classic Pilates bicycles. Admission. I need to work a bit more on my arms. I often work more on my core and gluts, less on my arms. So we’ve been using this little sequence in most of my classes this week. If you don’t have a mini-band you could tie a #resistanceband or no hold some weights. 💜1. Dumb waiter. Keep elbows close to the body. Feel your shoulder blades rotate as you move your hands out to the side. 💜2. Double arm lifts. Engage your core and put some tension on the band. Breath out as you lift your arms up. 💜3. Knee stretch/trunk hinge. Add in a lean back engaging core and gluts. 💜4. Shaving/Triceps. Hold back in the trunk hinge and reach arms back behind the head, elbows wide. Breath out as you reach arms up above the head. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜. Wearing @tikiboofitness leggings and top and @toesox bellarinas. Using @physioroom_com loop. How balanced are you? As in actual balance, like can you stand on one leg?? Balance can be a pretty  good indicator of how well your muscles are working through your core and all your stabilising muscles. If you are on any kind of exercise journey these are your key injury prevention crutches. These are compromised throughout pregnancy due to relaxin loosening the joints making them more unstable, so new mums have a little more of this work to do to get back to running etc. Walk, running, cycling, dancing and swimming amongst pretty much everything else depends on your body using one limb at a time and more often than not, having your weight or pushing through that single limb. Take running for example when you land on one leg your body weight (roughly x7, so if you weigh 70kg, 490kgs!!!!) is going through that leg and those joints, structures and muscles. When your balance and the strength of those stabilising muscles is comprised so is your joint and muscle health. Try this sequence and test your balance. 
Weight through heal, wiggles your toes and st back into it. 🏃‍♀️
