A veces cambian los roles, y son los alumnos los que inspiran a los maestros...
Gonzalo me inspira, me emociona y me hace querer seguir estudiando para encontrar más herramientas para ayudarlo a vencer sus límites...estuvo cuadriplejico por 8 meses y después de un largo camino de rehabilitación (que nunca termina) llegó a mis clases. Para intentarlo todo. Sin excusas. Sin miedo. 
Gracias al universo porque puedo trabajar de lo que amo y porque puedo ayudar a alguien, desde mi pequeño lugar, a ser su mejor versión. Y gracias al universo porque llegan alumnxs como él, con un empuje sin fin, que vienen a enseñarnos, y a recordarnos todo lo que somos capaces de hacer.

Really when trying anything for the first time we are faced with emotions that we’d rather not deal with.  It’s the mental fortitude of choosing to proceed anyway that brings such a nice sense of empowerment.  The difficult emotional hurdles at the start will give way to positivity and confidence. .

Amo o que faço e amo a transformação que tive na minha vida e no meu corpo(muito encurtada 🤦🏼‍♀️) E o que sempre falo e me orgulho em dizer, que mesmo depois de 12 anos trabalhando na área tenho muito que evoluir, uma constante mudança.

Jill is our newest instructor at Movementality but in reality she has 17 years experience with Pilates which is beyond impressive. @jillschober is known for her challenging upper body sets and her attention to detail. She has done her time in her own body and knows how to break things down for a beginner or ramp things up for the seasoned Pilates goer! Here she demonstrates her long stretch on the reformer... notice how she presses back through her heels and reaches her crown forward simultaneously to create a long strong stretch throughout her whole spine. Next time you try this, see if you can imagine creating a little bit of space between every vertebrae in your spine and notice how little pressure you feel as a result! Long stretch...so much more than just a plank 😎✌️

How is that so? Pilates is a way to connect mind and body, resulting in increased self awareness and control of our movements. Pilates requires a lot of body awareness, attention, focus, and makes you use your memory as you become acquainted with the order, names of exercises and  number of repetitions., so...you do have to concentrate a lot when you practice Contrology. ⭐️

You have to simultaneously coordinate your breath with movement, while holding another body part still, or move multiple body parts with control, maintaining great alignment...lots of brain power needed! The Method seems hard when you first start, but gets easier over time as you start to increase your concentration to move, therefore creating new neural pathways. Your brain has the ability to find a way around a cognitive or physical problem by creating new neural pathways, and the more that pathway is used, the easier it gets to recruit the correct muscles to execute ANY physical movement. ⭐️

Pilates is a different kind of fitness regime that will challenge your ability to communicate with your body, in a deep way. At the end of the session you don't feel exhausted because the movements will massage your muscles, your internal organs, and all that thinking and concentration will "massage" your brain! . Enseña a estabilizar la rodilla, y eliminar presión sobre la misma, a través de la cadera.
. Da movilidad en la columna, evitando la rigidez

Musculatura implicada . Core: nucleo del cuerpo, abdominales, cuadrado lumbar, etc. Suele ser una zona afectada a nivel lumbar, debido a la posición esquiando. . Glúteos: medio, mayor y menor. Se encargan de la estabilización de la cadera, a la hora de realizar los giros. . Rodillas: absorben gran parte de la presión y las fuerzas de impacto. . Cuadriceps: son los responsables de mantener posición estable. . Isquiosurales: musculos que se emplean cuando nos inclinamos hacia delante en pendientes pronunciadas. . Aductores y abductores: encargados de acercar o separar las piernas, y mantenerlas en paralelo. . Pies y tobillos: controlan el movimiento de todo el cuerpo durante el esqui. . Hombros: ayudan a empujar con los palos y a apoyarlos en los virajes

Roll over until your legs are parallel with the mat and the ceiling. Balance your weight evenly across the backs of both shoulders. Do not roll onto your neck. If you are very flexible, let your feet come all the way to the floor. Flex your feet, reaching out through your heels.
On an exhalation, roll your spine back onto the mat, one vertebra at a time. Use your abdominal muscles and press your hands and arms firmly into the mat to roll down with control and precision.

Circle to the sky, shoulders to the earth's centre not as easy as it looks. Lengthen the neck and bring tip of chin back to the back of the neck without jamming the chin to chest. Gently squeeze the circle as you do the above, feel the magic stretch! NB gently, drive knees to the floor. Knee injuries try sitting on a chair.
