This is unfortunately very true! If you do your research and find out what you are really eating you would likely not want to eat it. Make healthy choices that affect your whole life time not choices to satisfy your eyes and your taste buds in the moment. #foodmatters#healthychoices

Термический эффект пищи (TEF) зависит от количества съеденного (и составляет примерно 10% от поступивших калорий). Так что, если вы питаетесь на 1800 ккал в день, ваш TEF будет 180 ккал. Если у вас будет 6 приемов пищи по 300 ккал, то с каждым приемом на пищеварение будет расходоваться 30 ккал, или, в целом, 180. Если же приемов пищи будет 3 по 600 ккал, TEF от каждого приема пищи составит 60 ккал, что в итоге опять даст 180 за день. Иначе говоря, количество приемов пищи в день никак не повлияет на расход энергии на пищеварение или термический эффект пищи.
Еще одно общераспространенное заблуждение: считается, что пропуск одного приема пищи или просто большой промежуток между приемами пищи заставит организм перейти в «режим голодания», запасать калории и всячески избегать расходовать жир (или даже замедлить скорость метаболизма). Throw back 12 months and I was one of the above... I'd never contemplated meditating because I never really thought it was for me... I'm no yogi and not spiritual or religious in any way BUT How could I decide something before I'd even tried it?!
So I got thrown in at the deep end and went for a weekend retreat to the temple in Ulverston with 2 of my very close friends. It was the best thing I've ever done. •
Day to day I'm a very hyperactive person... Always on the go and can never sit still, my mind is constantly running and I find it very hard to sit and relax - This made everything change. •
For that hour I was quiet and my mind was blank. •
I came out feeling completely chilled and like nothing could worry me or make sad/angry/upset... A year later and I try and actively meditate for at least 5 minutes a day... I still find it very difficult to switch off so a lot of time I used a guided meditation app.
I'd love to learn to just be able to sit and meditate wherever I was but I think I'm a bit off that yet... •
If you haven't tried it - YOU SHOULD. It's important to have the slow down time and really become aware of your breathing and self.
There's a couple of apps/people you can follow to help you get started, I used @calm app it's a daily guided meditation app which I found really useful.
There's also @headspace which is another good one. Alternatively you can follow/chat to @thestrengthtemple who runs a Facebook group for daily meditation and what that man doesn't know about mediation and switching off isn't worth knowing ✌

I'm smiling because I've been having dessert for breakfast for the last few weeks and I couldn't care less that summer is just around the corner.
Calories in are NOT equal to calories out. I'm not saying you should binge and eat junk. What I am saying is that other factors, such as stress are HUGE in determining how your metabolism works!
Instead of going on a new diet as you as you give up on the previous one, try to evaluate how much pressure you're feeling, how well do you sleep, how much do you sleep, do you get enough "me time" and do things that make you happy. Instead of automatically punishing yourself with extra workouts and less food, try to start with your inner health and "fix" it first.
It took me so many years to understand that stress is actually the biggest factor that makes me feel unhealthy. When I'm stressed feel sluggish, I don't want to work out and I crave foods I never usually eat.
Before I'm stuck in the cycle of bad moods, eating junk and not doing anything productive, I now know to stop myself in time and take a step back. Even if it means not being very productive for a day or two. Spending time with friends and doing what I love is the best soul food and healer.
Remember to give yourself love instead of jumping to controlling ways to look and feel "the right way".

• Kies bij voorkeur mager en onbewerkte vleessoorten zoals kip, kalkoen en biefstuk
• Witte vissoorten zijn over het algemeen minder calorierijk zoals kabeljauw
• Vette vissoorten zijn weer goed voor de visvetzuren tonijn of een stukje zalm is heerlijk op de barbecue
• Maak groenten spiesjes zoals maïskolf, champignons en paprika
• Groenten die je kan grillen, kun je ook op de barbecue leggen bijvoorbeeld plakken aubergine, courgette, groene asperges en portobello’s
• Kies voor rode sauzen, deze bevatten over het algemeen minder energie. Check voor de zekerheid even het etiket
• Maak zelf sausjes. Bijvoorbeeld een deel light mayonaise met een deel yoghurt of kwark, met hierin verschillende specerijen, knoflook en verse kruiden
• Een frisse salade voor erbij denk aan groentesalade en een fruitsalade

• Preferably choose lean and unprocessed meats such as chicken, turkey and steak
• White fish species are generally less high in calories such as cod
• Fatty fish are good for the fish fatty acids tuna or a piece of salmon is delicious on the barbecue
• Make vegetables skewers such as corn on the cob, mushrooms and peppers
• Vegetables that you can grill, you can also put on the barbecue, for example: slices of eggplant, zucchini, green asparagus and portobello's
• Choose red sauces, which generally contain less energy. Check the label for safety
• Make sauces yourself. For example, a portion of light mayonnaise with a portion of yoghurt or curd, with various spices, garlic and fresh herbs
• A fresh salad for thinking of vegetable salad and fruit salad

I took an unplanned 415 for a ride twice after previous sets of 3 @ 345 and 3 @ 395. Almost missed the lockout but was able to maintain my grip as I stubbornly refused to change my grip to a more secure one. I am super stoked with this PR but still... Must. Get. Stronger. #neversatisfied

E.g. I’m 17 so my maximum heart rate would be 220-17= 203 #quickmaths
