The constant practice of balance.
I find it a real challenge to quiet my mind. Often setting high expectations for myself and productivity, never quite seeming to get to where I thought I would.
From starting multiple books and finishing none. To committing to courses and training while spreading myself thin and losing focus amongst too much information.
Why not simply let go of those self-set expectations? Sometimes solutions seem so simple but it’s the application of that mindset shift which is hardest to place.
For me, getting away to a more open and awakening environment is key. Be it a quiet, green space in London or more grand trips like this, away from the intense city, it’s about finding room for that new perspective to settle in.
Learning to find balance in each moment. Slowing down. Not always feeling the need to move, to do, to achieve. Living in a way that I can fully and experience all that I do.
Taking time with life. There’s no race or rushing here.
We chased the sun to the heavens of #teanawaycountry today. Despite a busy hiking weekend in the PNW, we were lucky enough to be the only souls on our "trail" (i.e. choose your own adventure snow traverse). The weather gods were truly in our favor today. Until next time, #mountstuart .
Friends, do you take your pup out on hikes with you? I love seeing our furry pals out on the trail. This was Toby’s first overnight venture in the snow - he wasn’t a fan of the blizzard conditions and snow sticking to his fur, but he pulled through. Definitely appreciated his @ruffwear jacket to keep him nice and toasty. What a trooper!
In a world full of colour, sometimes black and white is simply stunning.
Flying over mountains covered in snow is like moving through a beautiful black and white movie.
Where's your favourite black and white scenery? Comment ⤵
When we’re in the mountains it can be so easy to focus on what’s towering high above us, missing the life that’s right beneath our feet.
Like this little guy with his bright green and bronze-tipped shell that I spotted on the way up Kyangin Ri. Such a beauty glinting up from the earth below.
The lake looks super smooth but it’s actually still frozen and few crazy people went swimming...ice cold water really isn’t my scene- if I wanted to be uncomfortable I’d go on a tinder date. #colchucklake#pnw 🏔🌍💕
