I slip out of the world and into my studio. A warm cup of coffee, blank canvas, acrylic paint, and these first few hours of morning become my sanctuary where anything is possible. 🎨 My hands reach for colors making marks of all kinds across the canvas. My mind is set free, and the creativity flows from my fingertips. ❤️🙌🏻 I cannot begin to explain how liberating it’s been to start experimenting more with intuitive painting. Yesterday I actually worked on 4 separate artworks (this abstract, 2 sketchbook spreads, and the flying boat car commissioned piece)! 😱 If you’re having any creative blocks, please take this post as a message to sit down and make something, anything... really. I promise it will help. In the meantime, what do you think or feel when you look at this piece? ...at this series? Do you enjoy abstract painting or is it not really your thing? I want to know! 🙃

Enrique Eglesias was blaring from my stereo system and my colors were dancing a melodious Latin twist, toying with each other, flirting unapologetically... This is Day 1 on the piece I'm filming where I'm baring it all about my palette and composition strategies, inspirations, worries, aspirations. Art final (5/6): “Road Trip” is another 8x10” painting based on a photo I took from the car while my family and I were driving to the beach. I used palette knives to paint this instead of brushes, it was lots of fun 👌
