Can’t stopppppp. Newest obsession is loading up a container of marinated mushrooms, garlic, capers, mozz balls, and olives from @wholefoods and salad-adding. Today’s other spinach toppings include goat cheese, avo, cauli, sweet peps, baby bellas, EVOO, lemon juice, and spices. The peskier cravings / indulgences appear after dinner, but this is by far how I prefer to break fast now. Balance 🤓.
Finally reading @paleoforwomen’s Sexy by Nature (SO GOOoooOD) and this passage jumped out at me. I luckily do not suffer from autoimmune diseases (inflammation is another story), but I know many who do. Gut health is #1 in healing such; I wish it were what doctors focused on first. Anyway, awesome read so far and I HIGHLY recommend to any lady who is trying to naturally heal herself and feel her absolute best. ✨ edit: other more common autoimmune diseases include endometriosis, psoriasis, and fibromyalgia

Always LURVE seeing fun kid advertisements on healthy food! For D&A’s preschool bday lunch next week, we’re doing turkey and cheese sandwiches on @udisglutenfree bread, a veggie tray with hummus, and some org fruit snacks. It was actually kinda tough to think of a kid friendly, healthier option that didn’t have to be heated. Shoulda consulted IG last week 🤔. Oh well, food is purchased and ready to roll! My mom has been asking me health questions for years now and it’s adorbz. She was curious about turmeric and since I recently jumped on the #goldenmilk train (FINALLY), I figured I’d make her a golden milk spice jar for mama’s day this Sunday. It’s just turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon! Add a bit to milk or a milk sub, heat it up, mix/froth, and enjoy. Shhhh don’t tell her.

These pups were awesome during my recent March cough fest. A little pricey but completely worth it. I’m just learning that high quality Manuka honey has some absurd anti microbial properties! And the cough drops are awesome- I noticed a change right when I’d pop one. Thanks @melanieavalon for the recommendation. 😍
Nerded OUT at this place. I think I’ll try and conquer a record amt of paleo eateries like the crazed hippie hipster I am. A few thoughts: they started us out with free shots of olive oil to promote health and wellness (like ok obvi I just found my home lolol) and that tasted really dang good; I’d never just sipped on the stuff. I was expecting the portions to be smaller because A) we’re in a city and B) it’s all high quality ingredients. Nope. We were overburdened with straight up food heaven (I got the primal pizza and seriously unrealllll brussel sprouts). And, finally, kombucha margaritas. Mic drop. Will be crafting at home. Girl, you’re kidding me, right? I LOVE to eat!! ❤️🍝 I can eat carbs! I can eat real food - a lot more of it than you would probably believe!! And I’m still losing fat, building lean muscle, and feeling great.

More of my #youcantmakefriendswithsalad madness. For inexplicable reasons, I’m currently very into this whole beets, blue cheese, cado, roasted veggies, spices, splash of lemon, etc. stuff. Don’t worry, I’ve been balancing with homemade cookies and assorted alcoholic bevs.

Snowy comfort food- bratwurst, sw potato fries, and a take on @livinglovingpaleo’s paleo mac and cheese! I made an actual cheese sauce this time, but have made her cashew cheese recipe before and that’s amazing too. Sort of makes up for our spring time nor’easters...
🍯 Still trying to kick a minor (thank GOODness) cold. Made this smoothie with ice, avocados, cashew milk, Manuka honey (🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼), and collagen (🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼). Hoping for a little natural healing. 🥑 Probs should focus on stress as well.... 🤔
You CAN eat out and maintain a clean diet. It’s not always easy to choose the healthy meal over the burger and fries, but it IS a choice. 😇🥗

If I told my 2017 and prior self that I’d actually be seeking out black coffee (this is even after black coffee for THREE Whole 30’s), I’d cackle a bit. Maybe a lot. If it’s one more thing intermittent fasting has done, it’s to get me to appreciate the yummy subtleties in non sugary, non creamy java. Wawa has some bangin’ Colombian. I don’t know who I am anymore.
Even though I’m a bit “chewy” / “crunchy”, I haven’t gotten too into supplementing aside from collagen (and just started vitamin D / K2 this season). But this ish- twice I dabbled with oregano oil last cold season and never actually got the cold. Apparently if you use it for a few days right when you notice symptoms, it greatly decreases the chances you’ll get the cold. Used it again twice this year and, knock on woodddddd, I haven’t gotten my yearly / bi-yearly colds. Obviously sickness prevention involves a combo of food choices (sugar sucks for this), sleep quality, exercise, and now for me- intermittent fasting- but this supplement really assists, methinks! #imabeliever#notatrace#ofdoubtinmymind
