Train what your sh*t at. Struggle running? You should probably run more. Have no upper body strength? You probably shouldn’t skip that session🤔
I think it’s human nature to want to do things we are good at, partly because it feels nice to be good at something😂
However if you keep skipping a certain muscle group or body part overtime you will create huge imbalances & even start to look funky🙃#DoWhatYouCant
It’s a journey..no one is ahead of you or behind you. You are not more “advanced” or less enlightened. You are exactly where you need to be. It’s not a contest…it’s LIFE. We are ALL teachers and we are ALL students✌️
Can fitness be anymore boring? Not only are people obsessed with high intensity and repetitive exercise, they also make sure to suck as much fun out of it as possible - the gym was packed on this beautiful day with people running on treadmills and watching TVs. Missing out on so many nourishing aspects of movement and the environment.
I wanted to enjoy the weather and hit the trail while also working on some leg strength / hypertrophy. In addition to sprinting up whatever inclines I hit, balancing on logs, and jumping between rocks, I also took advantage of these slanted rocks (helps with dorsiflexion) and played with squat variations.
I’m digging my new @timbuk2 backpack - it was a helpful weight for squats, carry variations, and picking up groceries.
