1. Nature Merchant 01
Nature Merchant is a concept Troy has been working on for 8 years with recent editions completed in 2014 and 2015. The 2014 edition of Nature Merchant was acquired by the Art Gallery of Victoria for its permanent collection alongside notable artists like Emily Carr. Set in a dystopian future, Nature Merchant asks the viewer to reconsider the natural world. To imagine a world in which nature has become a form of currency. That men and women have become gatherers of the last remaining flora in which they sell for sustenance, acting as merchants of nature.
2. ELEMENTAL BLUE
''One small gesture, repeated enough times, has a physical presence that cannot be denied. This artwork involves energetic lines compressed into large tangled masses. This accumulation is a process of slow accretion. The intent is to capture a sense of the oceanic. Accumulations and proliferations have duel nature in that they can be a celebration of abundance or an overwhelming deluge.'' Y. Wiegers
When you need more mixing space than your travel palette allows, use a ceramic plate. No beading or staining here!

Mason jar update : I was at my moms place when I did this, where the exciting mason jars were housing the essential fennel candy, a staple in my household. Had to settle for a plain one

Painting “Voice of Winter Going Gently into the Night”. It was a long winter but today we have summer. Painted 2 of these just in case there is a lot of demand. Actually these are the background for a new installation piece that’s part of a bigger exhibit. I think I could give Barnett Newman a run for his style. #maciekpeter#barnettnewman#ottawaart
Had a great time at @613flea ! Next I'll be at @freewheelingcraft 🌸Blooming Local market this Friday night and Saturday! I love sharing my love of pottery and meeting all you lovelies at these markets. 😊
Recent painting I did for a fundraising event All Hands On Deck hosted by Beyond the Pale brewery in conjunction with Birling Ottawa for Pivot Sakes a non-profit organization geared to engage with and mentor low-income youth in the Ottawa area, providing refurbished skateboards and equipment to get them started in skateboarding.
Artists who wanted to participate could grab blank maple skate decks and turn them into works of art.
