📌Qu’est ce que le Taping? 
Lorsque le strapping ou les orthèses protègent l’organisme en limitant partiellement ou totalement un mouvement, le taping, lui, a besoin de mouvements pour stimuler le processus de guérison.
Il agit donc, dans les gestes de la vie de tous les jours.
Il doit être porté plusieurs jours, car les effets positifs s’obtiennent avec le temps.
Il est même possible de se doucher et de se baigner avec, car le matériau est perméable. 
Quelle que soit la couleur utilisée, les bandes possèdent toutes les mêmes propriétés.

Le taping est utile:
- après la phase aiguë, en cas d’œdème et/ou d’hématome ;
- en cas de tensions tissulaires ou de douleurs ne nécessitant pas une immobilisation (contractures musculaires, cicatrices adhérentes, tendinites débutantes...) ;
- après un soin, une manipulation, car il en prolongera avantageusement les bienfaits ;
- en reprogrammation articulaire ou musculaire lorsque persiste une instabilité ou une déficience.

Knee pain...quick tip to help it!

Did you realize that your knee pain may  in part be due to your non-converging eye or eyes?

Using eye exercises will "turn on muscles" that were previously dormant. -----
For instance, I get left knee pain so one  thing I will do immediately prior to training and between sets are eye isometrics and sacaades.  It is fascinating to feel my adductors suddenly stabilize my knee and the pain disappear.

1. Eye isometrics - use your finger tip or tip of pen as depicted in the photo and hold it off to the side for 8 sec while your eyes are focused upon the tip.  You may go directly horizontal to begin.  Then raise the pen to your upper left for 8 sec.  Following this to the lower left for 8 sec.  Repeat the same on the opposite side.
2. Sacaades - when I am in the gym I will hold both thumbs up and look from side to side at my thumbs.  Perform this 6 to 12 times.

Now, your nervous system will have "turned on" the muscles that were not performing up to par.  The result, a high performing and stabilized knee.

Feel free to use a tennis ball 🎾 or golf ball⛳️, make sure you are seated for this exercise as you can easily control the pressure💆🏽‍♂️. Do not stand on the ball ⛔️ .

Exercise of the day. The hip bridge. Stooped over the desk all week? Driving all weekend? Cycled 200 miles? If so, there’s a good chance your hip flexors will be shortened, your glutes switched off, your upper hamstrings uninterested and your low back over-stretched. The hip bridge, if done correctly, can undo some of these imbalanced tissues. 
The trick is to first flatten your back slight as if try to squeeze a grape in the small of your back. Then, slowly but surely lift your bottom off the floor until your knees, hips and shoulders are in alignment. Don’t over-arch your back so that your ribs flare out!

If the hamstrings spasm, put a pillow between the knees and gently squeeze the knees together.

A recent study from the Medical Journal of Australia has found that the number of young people requiring knee reconstruction surgery has risen 70% in the last 15 years, due to ACL injuries from playing sports.

The anterior cruciate ligament is an important ligament required to maintain the stability of the knee and can be torn during multi directional sports such as rugby, AFL and netball.

The rise in this injury is said to be due to more intense training and longer sporting seasons, and with the average cost of reconstruction surgery peaking over $8000 plus recovery time, prevention of this common injury is important and not mention more cost effective.

Lead researcher Christopher Vertullo, director of Knee Research Australia, stated that regular neuromuscular programs, designed to help develop healthy movement patterns and strengthen muscles around commonly injured joints, can stave off 50 to 80 per cent of ACL injuries.
