The most simplest & easiest way to make a change in ones lifestyle for the better is to have home cooked food as much as possible. By ‘ghar ka khana’, I don’t mean for you to have the same boring sabzi, daal, & roti (although its a perfect balanced meal), but I urge everyone to experiment & try out new recipes at home. This not only ensures that eating at home does not become monotonous, but it also gives one the opportunity to tweak the recipes according to their own liking, taste, & health requirements, as well as have access to fresh ingredients.
For example, homemade chicken fajitas was my dinner yesterday. Since I made everything at home, I could make small important changes to the dish, such as using hung curd for sour cream instead of full fat cream, making sure the chicken used was antibiotic and chemical free, salsa was made from fresh organic tomatoes, oil used to prepare the vegetables & grill the chicken was controlled, & I even had the choice to just have the filling and skip the tortillas! So go ahead, & start experimenting!

cocok untuk camilan, saus tomat alami, untuk pasta atau pizza. 🍅🍅🍅🍅 Cara membuat saus tomat homemade dari tomat beef ini relatif mudah hanya dengan menggunakan bahan utama tomat buah serta bumbu pelengkap lainnya seperti bawang bombay, bawang putih, lada, garam, gula dan oregano (optional) dan barangkali anda puya bisa juga dengan menambahkan Kaldu bubuk Non MSG. Berikut adalah cara membuat saus tomat sendiri dirumah :
Cuci bersih dahulu tomatnya, rebus tomat sampai lunak dan kulitnya bisa dikelupas. TIPS : agar mudah untuk mengelupas kulitnya sebelum direbut kerat kulitnya menjadi 4 bagian.
Bila dirasa sudah agak lunak dan kulitnya bisa dikelupas, segera angkat dan tiriskan, buang kulitnya dan blender sampai halus.
Selanjutnya tumis bawang bombai dan bawang putih sampai berbau harum.
Masukkan Tomat yang sudah diblender, kemudian tambahkan garam, gula, lada, serta maizena yang diencerkan dengan 2 sdm air. Aduk dan Masak hingga mendidih atau meletup letup.
Bila sudah matang, angkat dan biarkan sampai dingin, masukkan ke dalam toples kaca atau wadah lainnya dan tutup rapat, taruh dikulkas atau freezer..kalo dikulkas tahan 1-2 minggu klo di freezer bisa tahan 1 bulan. 📸: trueleaf.com

My Dad brought this angry loud machine into the back yard today! It looked like the grass was getting lower as he passed with the red angry machine. I thought I had total control of eating the grass. But I guess he needed help. I was so afraid that the machine was going to eat my garden plants! But, he spared them and has left them grow. It’s confirmed that I have successfully planted some tomato plants. Not sure what the others are. What a nice surprise hat will be! Had to have bloods taken recently to test for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (icp) which thankfully came bk all clear but they did pick up that I am anemic 🙄 hence the tiredness... so instead of taking iron tablets which are known to cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea & stomach pain I have been juicing vegetables regularly and taking cacao as this has a great source of iron, potassium, copper & magnesium. I've also been taking wheatgrass as this is high in iron & helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue and lastly my not so favorite due to the taste & smell 😣 spirulina powder, this is incredibly high in protein & a good source of antioxidants & B- vitamins. Its one of the most potent nutrient sources available!! .
If your child’s classroom doesn’t have a garden, what about at home? My daughter’s class yesterday had their monthly class luncheon with fresh organic vegetables started from seeds. The joy of eating fresh lettuce, cilantro, spinach, peas and basil!
