Baked Orange Tofu.
RECIPE serves 4
•500g tofu cubed.
•3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
•4 tbsp tamari
•2 tbsp maple syrup
•2 tbsp cornflour
Place tofu in a baking dish that has a lid.
Finely grate the runs from 1 orange and then juice all 3 oranges. (I use a little hand juicer from the supermarket)
Mix orange rind, juice and all remaining ingredients in a jug and pour over the tofu.
Place lid on and bake on 160 for approx 45 mins.
Serve with veggies.
I’ve served mine with peas, cauliflower and mashed potato/sweet potato. (I just use coconut cream to mash my potato with)
Ya’ll! I usually don’t eat anything special when the boys are at school. Today, though, I couldn’t resist this pkg of spicy orange tofu any longer. I sprinkled the tofu with cornstarch to give it a crunch, added some broccoli and cauliflower, and topped it with some sesame seeds. It was AMAZING!! I can’t wait to have this again! @housefoodsamerica #housefoods#wokmeup
🔥 Hot tip! When the recipe says mix the club soda with the batter, it doesn’t mean mix the club soda with the boiling oil 🤦♀️ Just barely avoided my first grease fire! Was it worth it for my first @hotforfood recipe? Absolutely! This is the 🍊 orange tofu with fried rice - yes, yes and more yes 🌱
Orange Tofu Bowl:
1. Cut a block of Extra-firm tofu into small cubes. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping half way, at 400F.
2. Cook 1 cup of quinoa according to package directions.
3. For the sauce, combine 1 cup of orange juice, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 5 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Cook this mixture on medium heat in a saucepan until you’re happy with the consistency. You may need to add water to thin it out as it heats up.
4. Combine tofu, greens, and quinoa 🥡 #tofu#vegetarian#quinoa#healthyrecipes#healthyeating#orangetofu#instafood#food#asianrecipes
This was the first recipe I made from the @hotforfood cookbook and I was not the least bit disappointed.
Frying has always been a scary and frustrating process for me but when @laurentoyota says to get a deep fry thermometer you do what she says to do because after watching a couple of her YouTube videos you know that she knows what she’s talking about!
I’m so glad I listened to this woman because I have never had such crispy tofu in my entire life! Even my picky meat eating boyfriend liked this meal which is saying A LOT because he rarely even likes to try vegan food 😒🙃.
I seriously can’t wait to recreate more of her recipes. If you haven’t grabbed her book yet you’re a fool!

Oh. My. Gah! Tried out the orange tofu & veggie fried rice recipe from @hotforfood’s new cookbook. That orange sauce is EVERYTHING! Minor mod subbed white rice for cauliflower rice and baked tofu instead of fried. It was still delicious 🤤
My version of @thesarahsullivan ‘s orange chicken recipe! I altered the recipe using what I had on hand and lightly pan fried and put it over cauliflower rice sautéed with pepper and white miso paste! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Then, I roasted some sweet potatoes with rice vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pep, and paprika! This was the best dinner I’ve had in a long time. ❤️❤️❤️😭 #vegan#veganasianfood#vegancooking#orangetofu#soyboy#cauliflowerrice#sweetpotato
