Woke up today feeling so much better. ☺️ Still not 💯%, but so much better then the last few days. I give credit to a healthy lifestyle for helping me be able to get back on my feet quickly. Eating right and staying active does so much more then keep you in shape. It helps with your over all health. It’s helped me especially take control of my fibromyalgia and manage it to the point most of the time I forget I even have it. Today my family and I participated in the Shayne Shore Run, at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. It is a charity run to raise both funds and awareness for Youth Mental Health and the Transitional Aged Youth Program (TAY). TAY is a new program designed to help those youth transition between the adolescent years to the adult programs. This year they raised $13,000 with many prizes donated from local businesses, including myself, @lindsayselfnd and Thirty One Bags from @rn_74, to name a few.
You can always still donate and can participate next year as it is a yearly event!

Instant pot success again!  I rave about the IP allll the time. Why I didn’t get one sooner is beyond me. I’ve used it almost daily for months now! Do yourself a favor and get you one! Another easy paleo dinner!  This is that moment I wished I had two IPs.  Spaghetti squash, bell pepper, roasted red pepper, green onion, broccoli and shredded chicken breast in cayenne pepper hot sauce. Well, I’m not big on posting #progresspics or #selfies but I will have to say, despite me not getting into the gym regularly and being under more stress than I prefer, my #selfiesunday isn’t too bad. I’m not going for a six pack or even “stage worthy” physique, but what I AM going for is balance, confidence, discipline in my nutrition and feeling good! I have obstacles that limit what I want to do, so focusing on nutrition is key for me right now. Everyone is different when it comes to stress. For me, I tend to want to not eat and workout more to “distress”, but we all know that is NOT good. Happy Earth Day! We are so blessed to be living on this magnificent 🌎 so let’s do all we can to keep it healthy! Here are my top 5 things we can all do to help. 1. Understand that convenience comes at a cost so choose with intention. i.e. choose companies who use earth friendly packing, versus cheaper and toxic choices like styrofoam for the sake of profit. 2. Reduce our overall consumption, b/c our resources are limited - more each day. Recycling is only a temporary solution, and what many do not realize is the toxicity involved in recycling. 3. Personal responsibility - be informed! We live in a time of information overload and ignorance is simply not an excuse - especially as it applies to our health and the health of our planet. 4. Understand the intentions of the companies you support with your hard-earned wages. Why support the companies who care more about the profit than the people? 5. Use perspective as your guide. Know someone with...cancer? water contamination poisoning? heart disease? These are lifestyle diseases created by our current culture.
