Today was a huge day! 15 hour night bus from Rishikesh, breakfast with the bosses, one of whom just arrived from Toronto for the week (!!!), guesthouse scramble in Dharamkot, and a quick afternoon run up to Triund to scout out some tents!
@musingsofmaverick you never fail to amaze me, thank-you for your trust and your honesty. The days would be so much harder and a lot less fun without you my friend. #colove
From the rave in the main square to some hidden ghats on the banks of the Ganga, I continue to bask in the post-Holi glow! There's still colour in my hair, and ears, that likely won't come out soon, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Feeling grateful to have had this experience. Thank-you India, you just keep on giving!
Amritsar, or Ambarsar as it is known locally, is the spiritual capital of the Sikh religion and home to the Golden Temple. On our India: Gender & Religion program, we eat here and sleep in the attached ashram, eating langar (the community temple meal provided for any and all pilgrims), and volunteering our hands to chop garlic, wash dishes, and participate in this well-oiled community space. #operationgroundswell#backpacktivism 📷: @wayfaringsister
