After getting an awesome message from my bride yesterday I felt so thankful for what I get to do. Sometimes, I honestly just want to give up and choose something easier than running my own business. But after the push and when the bride loves her flowers... it makes it all worth it. Thanks to all the couples who have let me create for their wedding so far and for the couples I get to create for coming up!
MUA @bohofoxartistry .
It’s a ruff led life. I bought these gems 10 days ago, carted then to a photo shoot and home and then to a wedding and home again. I can really get behind a flower that looks sweet and delicate but is actually a total badass. Also, credit to @seattlewholesalegrowersmarket for supplying us with the best in the biz!
Heading out today to pick up my dear friend @forgetmeknottsak and explore around Rainer and surrounding areas! Then down to PDX for @goodseedfloral workshop while getting to visit my @maijarebeccahanddrawn ! I can’t wait for all the girl time and floral inspiration and new friends! Have a great weekend friends! I’ll leave you with another gem from this weekend’s shoot... which I’m still dreaming on!
This rain keeps coming down but I just keep repeating “April showers bring May flowers”. So excited for those juicy May flowers!
Her earrings and Necklace- @jesdesignstudio
One of those days yesterday where I was completely giddy all day! I am just thrilled on how this styled shoot came out. It’s like what you dream about in fairytales... I can’t wait to share more!

My girlfriends and I spent time cutting out all these flags for the wedding and my mom sewed it all together. The flags now string up and down our hallway in our first home together. Eventually, I want to make a wedding quilt out of all the flags. It’s been really fun to revisit our wedding day with the feature on @junebugweddings . Link is in the profile if you want to check it out!
Extra special treat today... our wedding got featured on @junebugweddings !!! Full wedding glimpse of our ceremony love nest, Sunday picnic and intimate gathering... Check out the feature in my profile! So thankful to everyone who helped me pull of our dream and all those who made our day by being there. All the feels today! Xoxox
Shoutout to my friend Noelle @noellejohnsun for capturing the emotions and essence of our wedding beautifully!
Flower children. 🌼🌼🌼 Used April’s #flowercrownfolk challenge for the 70s party we went to this weekend. Full of daffodils, pieris japonica and greenery from the yard. Also my mom got this dress in Israel when she was 17! Swipe right to see the crown in detail.
First pic @noellejohnsun
My summer is filling up with weddings and elopements and I cannot wait to be doing flowers almost every weekend! Talk to me if you still need flowers for your wedding this year, there is still some availability!
First spring since we bought my childhood home back and it’s been so fun discovering all the spring bulbs that are planted around the yard! I am so thankful to have these daffodils growing right outside my porch!
Quiet contemplative morning. This picture somehow captured the stillness I wanted to convey. It’s the quiet stillness of hope. The words of Christ hit me profoundly as I read yesterday, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 Forgiveness even in the darkest hour. Forgiveness for your deepest low and darkest nights. Forgiveness for when you don’t even know you are wrong. It’s all covered in endless love. Still wrapping my mind around this concept. Going to enjoy Passover with family tonight and sunrise tomorrow. There is hope in the darkest hour friends, love overcomes.

Was looking through my camera card from summer and couldn’t believe how green my yard was! The difference of having my trees with leaves compared to their naked state currently was almost unnerving. Sometimes I feel so sickly and tired in the days of rain and overcast. I know I wouldn’t appreciate the summer near as much if we didn’t go through winter. That being said... spring is here and shortly after spring is...summer!!!! Embracing these spring plum blooms today!
Hit 2k today! Thanks for all of you who follow along on this floral journey! I love the community that fosters encouragement and inspires creativity. I appreciate all the fellow flower lovers, photographers, vendors, designers and friends who share on the gram and create a feed of beauty and motivation. Cheers friends!

Maybe I can will spring into action by posting pictures of bright colored flowers. I know that it's still only March in Alaska but I'm sick of seeing snowflakes in the forecast already!
In theory fresh cuts should be in today and will definitely be available for Easter. Don't forget your Easter flowers! If they aren't in today, tomorrow... #smalltownproblems *
I may be closing early in the evenings this week, 5:30 or so rather than 6:00. Though I will still be opening at 2:00, so come say "Hi".

When you give your bride her flowers and then proceed to bear hug her. Swipe right for the squeeze.
I love these sweet photos by Milad of @bornpacific ! They capture the emotion behind the scenes and the colors so vividly! I was so excited to be part of Bri and Shaun’s wedding and loved making a raspberry, pink and cream Bri sized bouquet. So thankful for all the couples that are friends and the ones that become friends along the way.
This weekend was full of tulips! I am normally a little timid when it comes to them although they are one of my personal favorites. Designing with them can be intimidating with their wild ways. But this weekend I really enjoyed it and I think I’ll be using tulips more often in design.
It’s finally spring and it’s also my little brother’s birthday! Happiest Birthday Zane! You have a heart way bigger than your wild hair, are super talented and make everyone around you laugh. I’m so proud of you and the man you’ve become! I love doing life with you. Cheers to 26!

Men love flowers too. I remember doing a shoot last summer in the mountains. There were multiple couples and vendors. I had made boutonnieres for the sets I did. One of the other vendors participating had just made bouquets. The male models came up to me (assuming I had made the other bouquets) and asked for their boutonnieres, seeing that the others had them. Quickly, I made some simple ones out of alpine flora and twine on the mountain. Their smiles helped me realize for the first time how much the men wanted to have flowers and the feeling of confidence it gave them. Plus in my mind you can never have enough flowers around. Don’t forget the men in your life when planning for wedding flowers, most of them love wearing them! And they look dapper too!
Ok ladies, dust off those old wedding/formal dresses that aren't worn anymore and go get them dirty for some amazing photos!
One thing I've noticed since taking my first set of bridal bouquet photos with Melissa is that my daughter, who is two, loves to see those pictures. I'm not sure exactly why but I feel like they have a profound affect on her. And I fully believe that we, as mothers and women need to do things like this that make us feel beautiful. Not only does it make us feel good but our children see it too. They are little sponges who pick up on our feelings and mood even if we don't think they notice. So go and do something that makes you feel beautiful today. 💕 📷: @melganeyphotography 💐: @blossom_byemily
Yesterday was one of those unexpectedly magical days. It started with a cozy morning with my husband at home and then my weekly Friday tea with a close friend. I spent time in the chicken coop with the girls and I’ve finally got them to eat out of my hands. Later in the day I met a fellow flower enthusiast and farmer for coffee and made a new friend and connection. The afternoon was full of sunshine and pruning my roses with my 82 year old British friend. It was like working in a secret garden as we unburied sleeping rose beds. A toad came along which is one of my favorite creatures. It’s so symbolic of my childhood and seeing it again on the same ground, was so confirming. We finished the evening with dinner out with our grandparent like friends in our lives, who always encourage us to follow our dreams and depart lots is wisdom to us. Not all days are so golden in light or in company but when they are, you have to stop and notice and look up. Very thankful for the gift of yesterday.
Wedding florals homework week 4. Boutonniere and simple corsage.
I really love this little bout, and would you believe it is completely made up of little floral "scraps" that I had from making the bridal bouquet? *
The corsage is super simple, just one flower and a little bit of greeney. Made more modern by just using some ribbon to tie it onto your wrist.
I've really enjoyed the floral classes I've been taking the last 8 weeks and am going to miss having set projects to complete, not to mention all the learning that happened! I would recommend to anyone, in whatever craft they are pursuing to always continue your education. Whether you just started or have been doing it for years, learning something new is invaluable. @nicolesclasses
Week 3 part 2 wedding florals homework. English garden inspired bridal bouquet. *
This was a fun one to make because of all the different kinds of flowers in the bouquet, and I really like putting lots of different flowers in my arrangements. You can't really see it in this picture but I used some lavender stock. If I were to do it again I would use a different color, it seemed like the lavender didn't work the way I'd hoped with the rest of the color pallet.
I love the tradition of the women getting ready together and helping the bride before the wedding. There is so much intention on each detail. This sisterhood is so sacred. These women are support before the marriage and after the marriage. I am so grateful for my band of women who journey along side me in this life. They bring so much grace, kindness and love to my life. Tell a sisterfriend you love her today!

I'm done my first 4 weeks of online classes and now I'm into 4 weeks of wedding flowers. This is my week 2 homework (don't worry you'd didn't miss week one, it was behind the scenes stuff 😉)
Doing a couple of large scale installments is what we were tasked with this week. I'm really loving the wild garden style arrangments, the wilder the better.
The purpose of this arrangement is for a ceremony or to be put in a large space, with primarily neutral colors. I used a couple purple things since I couldn't get them in white and really wish I could have. It would have made the arrangement that much better from a distance.
This lovely will be at the Presbyterian Church for tomorrow's service so be sure to take a look.
I'll post some close ups soon.
Happy Weekend Friends! I’m going to a baby shower brunch then working in the garden... pretty much an ideal Saturday! And we might get chickens today! What are some of your favorite Saturday activities?
These littles are so darling.
On Thursdays I get to watch my friends 2.5 yr old for most of the day. Every week I am amazed at the things she comes up with to imagine and play. She is so creative. Even though there are some things aren’t easy with a toddler, I find myself looking forward to the day full of play. Painting with water colors, running in the yard, making blanket forts and eating snacks are some of the favorite activities. I didn’t realize how much I had forgotten to play as an adult! I hope you all have some time to play today! And laugh!
That warm summer light and remembering this sweet moment when Zane @zanecarey read a note from his bride @yela_carey before walking down the aisle. Sometimes the before the wedding photos capture just as much of the story.
Amazing captures by @themoodyromantic .
This is my Dad at my wedding. Today is his birthday! He has taught me so much about hard work, having fun and loving well. He is also my biggest fan. Happy Birthday Dad! So thankful you’re in my life.
Floral homework week 4: bridal bouquet *
I made a bridal bouquet this week with some of my leftover Valentine's Day flowers. Then decided to see if I still fit in my wedding dress and got some photos of it. I love that we had some fresh snow on the ground for this wintery bouquet. *

Eberle Barn is a venue run by the great grandson of a couple that immigrated from Switzerland to build a dairy farm in Washington. Located in Sequim, the farm has the backdrop of the Alp-like mountains of the Olympic National Park. It's a bird sanctuary and as peaceful and serene as can be.
