Tried barre for the first time this morning and I loved it! (totally reminded me of my ballet days) then had this amazing lunch with my mom & sister right by the beach 🌞 it definitely feels like summer!

At times we can get lost within ourselves and become uncharacteristic. Take time to reflect on who you are and who you’d like to be. It’s important that we focus on improving ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally every day.
Trying to lose weight as you get older can be tough! If you're like me, you may have noticed certain foods seem to pack on the pounds more than others. Here are five foods you should try to reduce or eliminate out of your diet if you're trying to lose or maintain your weight. I do my best to try and avoid these foods and it's really made a difference! *White bread. Go for a healthier whole wheat or multi-grain version, but the less bread you consume, the better. Save your 'bread fix' for eating at an Italian restaurant! *Sugary drinks including fruit juices and diet soda. I know this is a HUGE downer, but soda pop can make you retain water and gain weight so fast. I remember for years I drank one Pepsi a day until I got older and noticed it was getting harder to maintain weight. Once I cut Pepsi out of my diet, I lost 10 pounds! I couldn't believe it and I've never gone back. *Beer. This one may be the easiest to cut out of your diet. Instead of drinking beer, try a skinny girl cocktail with vodka and diet cranberry that has zero grams of sugar. *Packaged snack foods. It's funny, I've never been much of a 'sweets' person, but I LOVE chips and popcorn. I could eat popcorn every night! Sadly, these addicting snacks can make you gain weight so try to enjoy them only once a week. *Sweet Treats. Speaking of sweets, this may be the hardest food to avoid for some of you. They can be so tempting! One thing I promised myself when I had young kids is to make it a rare occasion when we had cookies or ice cream in the house and it's definitely passed on to my kids. They hardly ever buy sweets and I'm grateful. Sweets are loaded with fat and sugar ...the two things you need to avoid most when trying to lose weight.
