She said "EAT THE SAME FOODS DAILY."⠀
You want the quickest way to get me to stop eating ANYTHING?? Feed it to me everyday.⠀
But hey, I understand where she was coming from. For her, meal planning was stressful. And eating her few favorite meals every week relieved that stress.⠀
And it's true... meal planning can be overwhelming to some.⠀
Find a tasty recipe, not one but SEVERAL for the week. And if you know anything about finding recipes online or in books, it's not a 5 minute deal. ⠀
Answer questions like:⠀
Do I have enough leafy greens?⠀
Am I getting a balance of starchy and non-starchy vegetables?⠀
Did I remember to add protein sources?⠀
Are these recipes so complicated that I'm gonna be in the kitchen for hours?⠀
Do these foods transport well to work if I'm taking in my lunch?⠀
Then you've gotta get your grocery list together, actually do the grocery shopping, figure out what to prep first (what can you prep now and use later so you don't have to cook start to finish and be in the kitchen every. single. day.)⠀
Phew! It's a lot. (I know, because I do this every week for my subscribers, except I'm CREATING original recipes, not flipping through books and using other people's recipes.)⠀
And if you're transitioning, that can be overwhelming. But the only way to be successful with any major life change is to HAVE A PLAN—an overall plan of action AND a weekly meal plan. I've seen way too many people fall of because they just out here "willy nilly" and, in a pinch, revert back to what's easy.⠀
When it comes to what you're gonna eat, each week, the only person stressing about what you're gonna cook... is me.⠀

Last week my workouts struggled, I got them in but I didn’t feel as focused.
So this week I set a goal to get up a little earlier and just push play.
I get asked how I stay motivated, how I keep going, I make a concise choice to keep going.
That’s how I do it. I decide I will not give up.
Just make time for it, make it a priority, if you make important to you, you’ll find a way.

Sigh. Monday. Holiday Monday. Work Day 4. For all of you fine folks recovering from last night’s festivities, were there festivities? There were certainly fireworks. This May 24 weekend always will be the weekend my apartment was broken into so many years ago. I imagine they would have got away with so much more had we not left our function early and in doing so, we interrupted them. Strange when you walk into to home and you can’t quite process what you are looking at. Snapping at my husband, ‘why did you leave the closet open? OMG, you left the kitchen window wide open!! What’s wrong with you? What’s with the mess’? On and on until I realize things are unplugged and missing. WHERE IS MY MAKEUP BAG?!?!?! It was on the lawn 😂 Ya so that was gross. Spurned us to get a dog. I was tasked to go purchase the one we picked out. Came hone with 2 of the most brilliant boxers ever. And yet it wasn’t enough. Had to move. Bought a house. That still wasn’t enough. Kicked the husband out. 😂 Life is sweeter and oh so different than that May 24 weekend 20 or so year’s ago. May your holiday Monday be filled with better memories than mine. Time is the best currency 💴 we have, the most valuable. If you were given £86,400 every single day, I can bet you’d spend it damn wisely and not waste it, so don’t waste your time either 🤜
Obsessing about lost opportunities can be demoralising. What you don’t want is to be prostrate on your deathbed, constantly looping the “what ifs” and “had I only” in your fading mind

BUT have you ever thought about how many pieces of fruit it takes to make the average fruit juice? 🥝🍓
Juice is pretty easy to drink in large amounts without realising, because it lacks the fibre whole fruit has, which helps us feel full.

So I had a sneaky weigh in this morning to assess the damage from the weekend. I'm 4.5lb heavier than I was on Friday 🐖. I don't think I'll be getting the 3.5lb off that I wanted for the week but definitely want to get the 4.5lb off as i do not want a gain 🤞. Starting of my Monday well with Bacon 🥓 and eggs 🍳
