From Australia to Texas, I have been traveling a TON. As I battle jet lag, exhaustion, & fatigue, I’ve made recovery priority #1 !
Here are my favorite hacks & tools to ensure I recover properly, so I always feel my best whether I’m on the go or simply preparing for another sweat sesh.
TheraGun: The @theragun is a gamechanger. This handheld self-massager heals muscles through vibration therapy. It’s a compact tool perfect for problem areas. Plus, it uses batteries, so it’s a great travel companion.
Infrared Sauna: We’re lucky enough to have 1 of these at @FitnessQuest10. Sit in an infrared sauna for 10 mins at 140+ degrees to flush out toxins, speed up recovery, & feel rejuvenated.
Cryotherapy Tank: The opposite of the infrared sauna is ice-cold cryotherapy. Instead of 10 mins in heat, cryotherapy is 2–3 mins at a chilly -215 degrees. This is another GREAT option for speedy recovery.
Hyperbaric Chamber: This pressurized chamber allows u to breathe pure oxygen, which increases the oxygen level in ur blood. In turn, this flushes out lactic acid, improves performance, & enhances recovery.
NormaTec Boots: These use compressed air to massage ur limbs & increase circulation for faster, efficient recovery. Beyond the boots for lower body work, they also make hip & shoulder versions.
