It's a magnificently thick and buttery mushroom native to China, traditionally toasted for colour and stir-fried with carrots, soy sauce, and scallions.⠀
Pairs well with jaja spring noodles, stir-fried buddha's palm, and kale.⠀

It's #throwbackthursday and I'm dreamin' about this Vietnamese beef stew I made last week. 😂 This time around I used @betterthanbouillon roasted beef base instead of my usual fave organic broth and it turned out AMAZING! 😋 Hang in there folks, Friday's right around the corner! 🙆♀️

Ebi Mayo Shrimp.
I watched Mr. Baek Jong Won programme yesterday and very interested on this dish. But instead of prawn cocktail, I'm using shrimp that we have at home.
How to make:
- Make a batter-fried shrimp first
- Then the sauce
2 tbs sugar
4 tbs mayonnaise
1 tbs vinegar
Simmered these 3 ingredients together on low heat, until bubbly and the sugar melts.
Pour the batter-fried shrimp into the pan, and stir together with the sauce then serve.
It's the kind of dish that you can make when the guest come over. Simple and tasty.

Mmm, what a delicious Northern Chinese eating experience we had at lunch today! 🍜 With @actualtina as our ordering expert, we feasted on Zhajiang Noodles (fan fave), pan fried and steamed dumplings, cucumbers in the most addictive sesame sauce, green onion pancake and “Birthday Buddha” noods. 🥟 We made sure to send off @ashleykitsuda with a full belly and sleepy afternoon on her last day. ☺️ Can’t wait to come back to try another 6 items. 😋

Veal Ragu Pappardelle at Brawn, famous for pasta, wine, and meat dishes🍝 🍷It was…how should I put it…it was…conventionally good…yes I know this phrase doesn’t exist I just made it up😂 It’s done correctly (sauce, al dente texture, freshness and etc.) However it was All Right but only Alright...you know what I mean...😳? That being said, Brawn is still good, even better than some Italian restaurants in Italy. I think the problem is that I’ve had too many insanely delicious pasta in Italy my taste buds were spoiled 😭
P.S. their Tagliolini was better than this👌 (Se parli l'italiano fammi sapere se abbia trovato il migliore ristorante italiano a Londra🙏)
Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs 🍝
Possibly one of the most comforting meals that exists.... super cheesy spaghetti and meatballs 🧀
1. Make meatballs: combine 1/2lb ground beef, 1 cup panko, 2 eggs, 1 chopped small yellow onion, 4 crushed garlic cloves, salt, pepper, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Form into 1 inch sized meatballs.
2. Heat 2tbsp oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Add meatballs to skillet and cook about 3-4 mins each side.
4. Cook pasta according to directions, drain, and set aside.
5. Add cooked pasta and 4 cups pasta sauce to the meatballs in the skillet and mix around.
6. Set oven to broil on high.
7. Place 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped basil on top of pasta.
8. Broil in oven for about 2 mins or until cheese is totally melted and bubbly.
