Throwing up high fives for the public holiday tomorrow! 🙌🏼 It’s Buddha’s Birthday tomorrow and we’re open as usual at all locations except Exchange Square and New World Tower will be closed.
#MONDAYMOTIVATION 👉👉 Nothing short of spectacular, the chilled Faalsa Sharbat to ditch the heat waves! Best part being that from this small cart in Paharganj you can get it packed too (just 50 Rupees a Litre/10 Rupees for a glass) & the guy prepares it with Bisleri Water & uses Jaggery (Gur) instead of Sugar! 😎
Besides having an eye pleasing Red Colour, it has a host of health benefits & this Indian Berry Juice often gets neglected in comparison to the Colas & Buntas (which dehydrate you even further)
He has Sattu, Bel & Aam Pannas too on offer - And these 3 too really standout 😇
Special Masala Toast at Gururaghavendra Tea Stall, Bapat Galli (available after 3:30 PM till it lasts)
The special masala toast is simple yet intriguing toasted bread with freehandedly applied butter and sprinkled with their patented Groundnut Garlic(around 8 other ingredients, including cashew nuts and Badam) chutney. The chutney is what makes it taste so adorable.
To find the best food, you need to explore the soul of city. But reaching for the soul, you need to get lost in the crammed up and over-populated web of gallis and nukkads. Someone has rightly said, some beautiful places can't be discovered without getting lost. So glad I rightly found what I was looking for.
Gururaghavendra Tea Stall is one such gem of a place. This place has been open for more that 35 years now and the legacy of their special toast has been carried forward to this day by their second generation.
Don't forget to visit this place if you every come to Belgaum. Officially on the MUST HAVE list for Belgaum.

It's one of those days when you have breakfast for dinner 😀
🍚Sabudana( Tapioca) khichadi recipe is one of the simplest and requires very few ingredients. But its difficult to make a soft khichadi which is spicy but with a sweetish taste to it
🍚 This is my MIL 's recipe who makes perfect khichadi ever time. . For this you will need good quality sabudana. Consult with your friends and then finalize a brand
🍚Pick and seive 1 cup of sabudana and wash with water. Then add fresh water to the bowl till sabudana is fully submerged in it. Do not add water above the level of sabudana pearls. Now leave this covered at least for 6 to 8 hours
🍚These pearls almost double in size and soak all the water. Remove soaked sabudana in a large pan and add 3/4 cup of roasted groundnut powder + 2 tsp salt + 1/2 tsp red chilli powder. Mix with light hands
🍚 Heat a wok on medium flame and add 1 tbsp ghee + 1 tsp whole jeera + 1 finely chopped green chilli. Saute for 1 min and add sabudana mixture to it. Mix gently and cook covered for 5 min on low flame
🍚 When sabudana pearls no longer look white but are shiny and soft you add 2 tsp sugar. Mix gently and taste. Here add salt and sugar as per taste. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the gas and let it sit for 5 min
🍚🌿Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and freshly grated coconut.
🍨🍋Serve hot with home made yoghurt or lemon wedges
🍚 Vegans can make this recipe in groundnut oil.
