BONUS TIP: Book a food tour or a cooking class that accommodates gluten free on your trip!
It is totally possible to do a food tour gluten free, and those are a MUST for us foodies! Do your research into companies that can accomodate and ask ahead about GF options. Expect not to be able to try everything but still embrace all the sights, smells and ideas to try at home. I have gone with companies like @deliciousfoodtoursisrael and @culinarybackstreets who went out of their way to accomodate #gf options for me! I've also done cooking/tasting classes in France and SE Asia which can also accomodate GF and allow you to taste the local cuisine without fear! #foodtour#foodie

Arrived in Bari, Italy with @theglutenfreesuitcase this afternoon and headed straight to @colibriobari which is an entirely gluten free bakery round the corner from our hotel! I went for the gluten free toasted sandwich with ham, salad and tomato and an almond cookie (all dairy free too!). Alex had the cheese and ham toastie on tomato bread with arancini & a pastry! 🇮🇹💗
We decided to have a bbq this evening (I am sure like most people) - so it’s time for a supermarket haul!!
Picked up salad bits and gluten free turkey sausages from @asda
I also picked up gluten free burgers in @sainsburys In the frozen section, I was surprised they were gf as they weren’t really expensive! Also got the @promiseglutenfree Sub rolls to make hot Dogs 😍

I have gotten a lot of messages asking where I am at and I want to apologize for falling off the grid! .
I am go go go person! I don’t stop but Thursday I was hit full force with a bug! .
And I still had to keep going! But no by choice, I had 3 interviews on Friday in the Easton, Bethlehem area and I did all while fighting a fever 🙈
So now here I am laying in a hotel room feeling lazy because I slept till almost 9 😱
But hey sometimes you just have to stop and give into what your body is telling you. Now to rest up and make it too Rich’s spring ball game!🏈
Definitely not how I wanted my first time in Easton to be but I guess we will have a lot more! Right?!?! 😂

Really loving these at the moment. This one is the coconut macadamia. Its definately my favourite. So so tasty , it reminds me of coconut and chocolate truffles. They are expensive at £1.99 but bought as part of the meal deal in @bootsuk gives better value for money! ☺

I thought I'd share a few tips after some recent discussions in my VIP GROUP!
It might seem a bit OTT but I always read food labels! I avoid things high in sugar, sweetners, soy, refined carbs, salt, sat fats, trans fats...... And generally anything I'd need a PHD in chemistry to work out what it really is! I'm cautious of preservatives, emulsifiers, thickeners, colours and flavours. I have also limited my intake of dairy and gluten.
Most of the time I eat fresh and cook from scratch....... it isn't as time consuming or expensive as you may think. It also means your body isn't storing the chemicals or a 'Toxic Load' which causes a risk to your health and weight gain.
👉 Everything in moderation! I go by the 80/20 rule which tends to be eating clean and lean during the week and having some cheats at the weekend. That way I still get to enjoy the naughty foods I love without depriving myself or binge eating. 👉 Detox your body. I do this 2-3 times a year to give my body a rest by hitting that REFRESH button by concentrating on 3 Key Areas.
1. Promoting a Healthy Digestive System
2. Balancing Blood Sugar Levels
3. Support Detoxification Organs
👉 Take good quality supplements. Nowadays we need to eat 8 (YES 8!!) oranges to get the same amount of Vitamin A our grandparents got from just 1! This is because the nutritional value in food has decreased soooooo much. We now need to take supplements to bridge that gap and give our body what it needs to function properly.
👉 Do it with your friends! Chat to them about it or even create your own supportive group chat. It's fun and great accountability.
