🤓I picked out this book as well as ‘A course in Miracles’ months ago on my (now ex) boyfriend’s amazon prime acct. I was on solo vacay when it came in, and discovered it among all the rest of my belongings I had at his house when I was unpacking boxes he left for me. I’ll never forget what it felt like to come home to a fully packed car & no goodbye. It’s still a shock. I’ve had zero motivation to do what used to set my soul on fire- like workout and read books and do yoga. Everything reminded me of him. My soul has been searched far and wide since then- lots of madness has ensued- and I’m finally ready to get back to what once inspired me. This year has been nothing of what I planned for- none of my previous goals include what has been allowed in my life in 2018- but I can’t let this stop me from being alive. On a day where everyone has lake, pool or bbq plans- I worked brunch, treated myself to a mani pedi & came home to read my old, new book. Im suppose I’m satisfied with less nowadays. Necessary Losses- Chapter 1. Here goes something ... #newread#booknerdsunite#selfhelpbooks 🤓
Fave quote from a review so far: “I’m also left wondering how and why this book hasn’t generated more discussion and reviews... I will definitely be checking out other books by Candace Knoebel — one would never be enough. She’s just too good at her craft.” I was speechless after reading that. This is why I write. This is why I push forward day after day. 🖤😭
Happy FRIDAY, friends!!! 🎉 I have a whole lot of plans to do this ^^ all weekend, if possible. 😉🤓
It’s been one busy week!! I’m so glad it’s finally time to just unwind & relax - I feel like I’ve been running around all over the place the last few days 😂 BUT tonight I have plans to put together a brand-new style blog post for you guys... I can’t wait to share it with you!! It will (obviously) include a book recommendation, but it’s also going to include a few other crime-y recs, too... so I’m curious: what are some of your favorite weekend activities? 🤔 do you watch movies? Listen to podcasts? Catch up on articles online? Literally any random thing you like to do - I want to know about it!! And you’ll see why in my blog post tomorrow 🤓
Reading update: I’m more than halfway through THE OLD YOU by Louise Voss! I’m enjoying it a lot, although I’m still waiting for the book to really surprise me. I have high hopes that things will catch me off guard soon - although I’ll be totally honest that so far I’ve seen the majority of the story’s reveals coming. That being said, I’m still enjoying the read a whole lot! It’s just not appearing to be the kind of read that will really shock you. 🔎
Happy weekend, guys!!!🕵🏻♀️❤️

hello everyone! i am officially back after a brief hiatus due to school. i’m super excited to be back with a new theme and username and a whole new idea for this account. after being a bit bored with just taking photos of books, i’ve decided to branch out and try more of a lifestyleish type account but still mainly a bookstagram.
so for my first official photo with my new account, i decided to post a book i had to read for school (i actually haven’t finished it despite school ending like weeks ago).
fifteen dogs, so far is an interesting book but it’s definitely not for everyone. the language and the way the author describes some things can be very harsh and a bit too descriptive? from what i’ve heard from my classmates who’ve finished the book. but if you’re okay with that i definitely recommend, it’s quite the interesting tale!
my next post will be a bit more about myself. i hope to meet some new friends here as well! ☺️
