The philosophy behind yoga has its roots in the writings of Sage Patanjali, who lived around 200 BCE – 200 CE. These teachings (Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras) present an orderly, concise summary of techniques we can use to better our life.
One of the most practical techniques he introduces is “pratipaksha bhavanam,” or turning thoughts around (II.33). Which translaates to : when you are disturbed by negative or unwholesome thoughts, cultivating their opposite builds firmness in the precepts of yoga.
I can't see how life would be without any limitations, if you had unlimited amount to spend from, that's not life. Fun is a continuous trade off, pleasing yourself exploiting your given resources, at the same time saving up.
I wonder what fun it would be to live without any limitations, time constraints, budget constraints, feasibility issues etc.
Your best comes out when you're challenged, when you are suppressed.
I love being an underdog, I love being a minnow!
My best comes out when I have to meet impractical, unreasonably impossible deadlines set by none other than myself !
Interesting thing about this post is that it was all done in a matter of two days mostly and two and a half on the whole, with last minute touch ups extending into third day that I can't resist. And the whole cost incurred in it, included nothing but the cost of uhu glues and jute string, all the rest was managed with unwanted and old things aka stuff already available at home.
This is a new look I gave to my tv lounge last week with zero budget themed on rustic farmhouse.
Passion is what drives me, I don't do it slow. I thought of making almost everything, even things I haven't got expertise in, the only thing I couldn't do though was making a rug myself, but I ll do it next time.
A Breakdown of what raw materials were used in preparation of all of the things displayed above, you ll be able to see that in my next post

Happy #EarthDay ! 🌏
Yes, I’m posting a picture of glitter on a day dedicated to end plastic pollution. Did you know that normal glitter is made from plastic? All those sparkles we love so much are micro plastics that can do incredible harm to the environment. But this is glitter with a difference - made from plant cellulose, it is compostable, non-toxic and will eventually biodegrade into carbon dioxide, water and biomass. Aaaand, it’s really, really sparkly!
We were sent this eco glitter by the lovely folk at @eco.glitter.fun to try out when we told them we’ve stopped using the ‘other’ stuff as part of our fledgling efforts to cut down on the plastic we use in our arts and crafts projects.
I can’t wait to show you some of the sparkly art we’ve made with this lovely, earth-friendly glitter, so come back to the blog next week for a full review - or keep a lookout on Instagram for more pics!
Despite only launching our first range in November 2016, we now distribute our sustainable skincare products across Europe and have more than 300 UK stockists including @topshop and @wholefoodsuk . 👊Anna will be sharing her thoughts on ‘The rise of the Indie Brands’ at 12pm today in the Natural Beauty Talks Theatre at Natural & Organic Products London at ExCeL!
We have been featured in an article by @elleuk all about 5 Lifestyle swaps that you can make in order to be more sustainable. 🌱 One of these is to “Swap your everyday toiletries for conscious cosmetics”. 👌
Here’s a snippet from the article: “With sea-polluting plastic microbeads officially outlawed, the appetite for sustainable beauty has never been clearer. The key to a greener beauty routine is doing away with single-use plastics and instead opting for recyclable packaging, plus choosing natural products over harsh chemicals and shopping brands that source their ingredients in a sustainable way.
We love Optiat’s reviving scrubs made from repurposed coffee grounds using recyclable (and Instagrammable) packaging. Consider the planet protected and your shelfie game upgraded”. 🌎
