HEALTHY DIET = HEALTHY SCALP& HAIR
If you missed yesterday’s Instagram live session here is a quick recap.
Your child’s diet plays a major factor in healthy bones, skin, organ development and of course hair.
1. Your child should be drinking at at least 1litre of water a day (if under4 ) 1.5 litres if between the age of 5-8 years old, between 7mths-1 year then an average of 500ml-1litre. However don’t quote me, check with a medical professional.
In any consultation I have with parents the first question I will ask is... DOES YOUR CHILD DRINK ENOUGH WATER? Hair grows from within so nourish the inside and the outward appearance like the hair will certainly flourish.
2. Serve fruits and vegetable with every meal. High water content foods like watermelon, pineapples, strawberries, cucumber. If your child doesn’t like eating these blend into a smoothie especially if your child loves juice.
3. Fun fact bananas are a great source of Biotin which is a vitamin that promotes healthy hair growth. A deficiency in Biotin can cause brittle hair. Encourage other foods like fish, avocados, protein & vitaminC ( oranges, red pepper, tomatoes peas), vitamin D( fish, almond milk, eggs)vitamin A(carrots, spinach)rich foods.
Hair is mainly protein, if your child hast got enough protein in their body, then hair will not grow effectively.
4. There is no miracle shampoo or conditioner that can save hair permanently yes you heard right... a good diet is 🔑. Hair grows from the inside, your child hair cells and every other cell in the body needs a good intake of protein, vitamins, iron to grow at its optimal.
I hope this helps 😘
