AVENGERS:INFINITY WAR (2018) 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5 ••• We’ve been waiting way too long for this movie and all I can say is that I loved it. I’m a hardcore fan of this franchise and the expectations were tremendously high. But look, I have no other words at this point. I’m speechless. My feelings are undecided in more ways than one. There is no doubt Infinity War was one of the best films Marvel have produced (do we except anything less though¿) it is just that there is a hell of a lot to process, and I don’t know where to begin. Give me time and I’ll post a full review on my blog SOON! 😬🤞🏼Whenever it’s released in your country please tough through the crowds and get down to the cinema! Hit me up when you do so we can talk 🎬 Mind-blown 🤯
I'm going to start off by saying that I'm honestly speechless and I really don't know what to say but I promise you that this a SPOILER FREE review as #thanosdemandsyoursilence and I would suggest you stay off the internet because oh boy there's a lot to take in!
Anthony and Joe Russo, seriously dudes! What the hell did you just make! I've been on the edge of my seat from start to finish biting my nails and been blown away every single second of the movie! How....What....Why!!!! It's a lot to process but I do agree that it's the movie we needed to have.
The humor between Starlord and Thor was hilarious, Banner and Hulk arguing with each other was contagiously funny, the who 'tells off better' feud between Dr Strange and Iron Man was a classic, Thor being to 'handle' Groot (who is really strong btw), Rocket showing how much of a heart he has, Team Cap of Steve Rogers, Black Widow, The Falcon and War Machine showing they mean business, Banner and Natalia reunion was awkward, the passion between Vision and Wanda showed strength, Black Panther and the tribes of Wakanda showed union and courage, the love that Thanos had for Gamora showed eventhough he was a big baddie, he still had a heart, and the ACTION! Don't get me started on the ACTION scenes and the Black Order do not disappointment! The scenes were all kickass!
A lot of surprises as you all may have predicted with some return cameos that made me turn red and had my mind blown away!
There is only one post credit scene right at the end but is probably the most important 'page' off the entire universe and is star worthy. That's all I'll say.
But most importantly what I loved about this movie is.....EVERYTHING. You need to go and watch it for yourself to know what I am talking about and I would love to get your comments on whether you agree with me or not.
Thank you to VOX Cinemas, Italia Films and Walt Disney Middle East for the invites. It was an unbelievable experience.
E-Ehsaan Tera Hoga Mujh Par from Junglee is such a wonderful love song. Now I don’t know which version you may prefer, Mohammad Rafi’s or Lata’s but they are both gems and Saira Banu looks divine in both as well. Can you pick one?
D-Dil Dhoondta Hai Phir Wohi Fursat Ke Raat Din from Mausam is a song that always gets me nostalgic-well it’s supposed to. It’s a song about the past when you were carefree and had all the time in the world. To lay and watch the stars and hear echos in the mountains. Fursat.
“Ae Watan, Watan Mere Abaad Rahe Tu
Mein Jahan Rahoon, Jahan Mein Yaad Rahe Tu.” The song “Ae Watan” from the upcoming movie Raazi is so beautifully on point because India is always on my mind. The words are patriotic but there’s a love song element to them especially since Arijit sang amazingly, as usual. It’s been running through my mind ever since I first heard it and it’s making me miss my Mumbai very much. The threads of the motherland are always tugging at me.

Retro Reviews: My review for Hook (1991)
Ask anyone who was an adult when "Hook" came out and they'll tell you it's terrible, but talk to someone who was a child or pre-teen at the same time, and they likely have nothing but adoration for Steven Spielberg's twist on the "Peter Pan" story. Following a grown up "Peter Pan" with a constant expression of fretting anxiety on his face, the once exuberant youth has lost his happy thoughts and wings. Now he must return to "Neverland" to rescue his kids from the nefarious "Captain Hook". Big, splashy, energetic, one size fits all Hollywood entertainment at it's best, "Hook" is a story of redemption. It's an extravagant fable about how the main character recovers his past and saves his family by reclaiming his inner child. It's a '90 film to the bone, yet, another moral lesson that'll never grow old. The writing is a nifty update to the original source material with some fantastically magical scenes. The first act can be tedious as it takes it's time showing how bitter of a man "Peter Pan" has become. But onwards forward, our first sight of "Neverland" is transcendent, and some sequences such as the "Lost Boys'" food fight and the climatic battle between them and "Hook" are blissfully directed. The film isn't simply about the happiness of childhood, it's about the pleasures of growing up too. The narrative suggests that there are two varieties of Lost Boys, those who never grow up, and those who grow up but lose the child within them. That's what "Hook" and his men represent, the evil of lost innocence. * Continues in part 2 *
Obviously we went to see A Quiet Place on Saturday. I mean, we’re talking about a horror flick with an almost-perfect Rotten 🍅 score that is #2 at the box office, just behind the new Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson movie. Can you blame us? Anyway, it’s basically a silent film about monsters starring Jim from The Office (who wrote/directed the film), his wife IRL, Emily Blunt and an IRL deaf actress playing the role of their deaf daughter (which is a big deal as there’s been some societal whining over disabled actors not getting disabled roles). This is a GOOD scary movie that was actually borderline ~too~ scary but not so scary that you shouldn’t go see it. You feel me? The monsters are blind but they have bionic ears and hunt humans using their impeccable hearing—we all have our strengths—so the protagonists try not to make any sounds and communicate mostly via ASL. Because of this, the movie theater is hella quiet, like so quiet that it’s tough to eat snacks. @bstine warned me of this and suggested eating a soft pretzel, if anything. Joe and I threw caution to the wind and ate popcorn and Junior Mints, which were both noisier than you’d think but sooooo worth it. Also, there’s a theory roaming around the Internet that A Quiet Place is secretly part of the Cloverfield franchise, which I LOVE. It would make sense as it has a jumpy, ambiguous alien narrative with no backstory. I recommend catching this one at the theater. A

Very emotional performance of all actors, young and talented Tom Holland, and, of course, things that you start to value only in heavy times - life, health, family. This film is based on real events - it will make you lost in thought and rethink a lot, so be ready to cry!
It’s been announced that actor Alden Ehrenreich has signed on for at least three Star Wars films playing a young Han Solo. *
The project has had rumors of problems with filming when the directing duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller left the movie while in the late stages of filming. Ron Howard was then chosen to take over directing the Solo flick. *
Do you think Ehrenreich’s interpretation of a young Solo will be our of this galaxy?
‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ will hit theaters on May 25th.
The Pianist (2002)
Adrien Brody'le The Affair of the Necklace filmi çekimleri sırasında Paris'te buluşmuşlar ve ilk görüşmede Adrien rolü kapmış.

#day15 of #30daymoviechallenge was favorite quote. This one was hard because I quite movies all of the time. But this is a quote that impacted by entire life whenni first heard it. As you may know this is the movie Secretary. Some just know it as a BDSM movie. And it's so much more then that.
So in the movie Lee wss released from a mental ward at the being of the movie. That's why she is looking for a job and blah blah blah. Anyway, she still self harms and in the movie Mr. Grey notices it. This scene happens and he asks her why she does it. She responds with a "I don't know" and then he says this. When i was young I also self harmed(through middle school and yearly highschool). In my head I knew what I was feeling and my actions but I could seem to verbalize it. And then I saw this and it put it into words for me. When I was able to verbalize(and with the help of my amazing Grandma Judy) I was able to get passed those actions.
This movie helped me so much I can't even begin to explain. And not just about self harm but stuff in general.
Road to Infinity War: My review for Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
They're comes a border line when it comes with balancing out your tones, and "Thor: Ragnarok", directed by Taika Waititi, breaks the line, and not in a good way. The seventeenth film in the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" follows "Thor", whose taken one too many comedic classes, trapped in a alien planet with his old and massive ally, "The Hulk". No doubt that this is the most entertaining "Thor" film, but the comedic aspects of the film brings down nearly everything already established about the character of "Thor". Now dumbed down into a kind of retarded, musclebound surfer dude, nothing can be taken serious about "Thor". Neither "Loki" or the rest of the characters in the film, who all suffered the same fate. Happening at a relatively quick pace, the humor shoots at you with no time to breathe, constantly making vulgar or idiotic jokes. And while some jokes do land *some harder in the face than others*, there's no stakes to be felt during the duration of "Thor: Ragnarok". A superhero film with no stakes? That's a major problem. The antagonist played by Cate Blanchett did an great job as a imposing force, but it's sometimes forgotten by the other plot in the film. The zippy space adventure is enjoyable to watch with it's strong acted cast and entertaining action sequences, but think of "Thor: Ragnarok" as a comedy, not a superhero film. There's as much humor in this than how many times they played "Immigrant Song" throughout the film and promotion material! And trust me, they milked that song!
Final verdict: 🍿🍿🍿 Watchable
Intouchables / 1+1

By the way, this film is one of my favourites! Every time I watch it, it brings me positive emotions. And what do you think about it?
Check out our review of The Quiet Zone, which has played at @screamfestla, among others. It has such a wonderful performance from actress @jessicabayly.
When we commute alone late at night our worst fear is that we are either being stalked or going to be attacked. And that’s what The Quiet Zone is essentially: a person’s worst nightmare. It is quite common that we find ourselves alone at night and start seeing things because of our consciousness. Writer/director, Andrew Ionides feeds off of this fear, adds it to an every day scenario, and what we get as a result is a disturbing and hypnotic film.
The story is about a woman, played by a brilliant and engaging Jessica Bayly, who asks an annoying commuter to be quiet because they’re in The Quiet Zone. When she gets off the train, she begins to suspect that the annoying person didn’t take their earlier interaction too lightly. Simple premise? Yes, but with some wonderful direction and a script full with unpredictable twists, Lonides takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary.
It’s simple: the film makes you uneasy, and there is always a sense of dread when you are watching it. That’s a testament to the excellent camera work which allows the film to build up suspense. Not only that, but Jessica Bayly’s brilliant performance engages the viewer. You fear for her and have actual concern for safety.
The Quiet Zone is what a horror film should be — scary, terrifying and engaging. Andrew Ionides has made such an accomplished piece of work, and to do it in such a short amount of time, too, is outstanding. We’re curious as to what he has to offer next time around. Keep an eye out for him.
After reading the negative reviews I wasn't expecting this film as great as it was! I'm glad I went off the ratings instead!
I've thought about this film for houres after seeing it. I don't even know what specifically I've been thinking about, all I can say is it left a big impression on me.
For me, films work on three hierarchical levels: at the very basic, they should be entertaining. All films should succeed here (but not all do, which is why we should rightly slam those that don't!). Then, there are films that are not only entertaining but also elicit an emotional response; they move us in some way. Finally, there are entertaining films that are moving but also have meaning; they resonate on a deeper, often metaphysical level. To my mind, Annihilation achieves all three.
Does the plot in Annihilation even really matter? The film is about the experience, the visuals and audio, the curiosity, the suspense. A world that could only be accessible to us in our imaginations is here brought to life on the screen. It asks a lot of questions but isn't interested in the answers. It's bold, brave, challenging. Some of it is spectacular, some of it less so. Naturally, that will split opinion.
Turn off the lights, switch off your phones, and sit back and feed your imagination and sense of wonder. #movies#2018movies#moviesreview#movieblog#moviesclub#netflix#movietime 🎬 #bloggerlife#bloger
