This was a fun one, absolutely crushes the legs; hams, glutes and quads. Sequences a few moves together nicely.
Haven’t shared a whole lot of my own fitness lately. I had been dealing what I now believe was Mono dating back to the week of Thanksgiving. It plagued me for months, I only really felt like I had gotten rid of it completely a couple weeks ago. I worked, trained and competed far less than 100% during this time. It was so at times, I couldn’t train or work. Most frustrating was simply not know what was wrong or why what I was trying to do to fix it wasn’t working. Luckily, through some trial and error, a reluctant and resistant willingness to “take it easy” for more than half a day and some solid insight thanks to @thebiostation, my health has been feeling better than it has since the beginning of November.
Training is going well, energy is good and I’m ready to compete again ASAP. I can’t wait for next week.

🔥Once upon a time not long ago when I was starting my career I was absolutely obsessed with a book by Thomas Michaud (sp?) until I got sidetracked becoming a Neuro knucklehead. So if you are into feet, then I suggest you read books by Michaud. ❤️So I am gonna give a shout out here to @drcourtconley because she is easily one of my favourite IG accounts to follow (plus she is a foot genius) along side my two other faves @themovementmaestro and @dr.jpop. If you aren’t them, then you better up your game son😡
Anyways back to feet ... I would even try to compare myself to @drcourtconley in this realm but I thought I would highlight something that is often missed. 😁So all y’all out there have been told that you have one hip or for the purposes of this post one pelvis higher than the other right?? Well why is that?? This freakish anomaly (NOT!!! It’s common (incase you are wondering - I am bringing back NOT ala Mike Meyers because I grew up in the 90s before hip hop died - shout out to Kendrick Lamar for his Pulitzer)...... 😡Ok I got sidetracked there.. FEET.... So you got one pelvis high... This is a lateral line/ coronal plane dysfunction dude!! Where you gonna go with this? 10 bucks says you likely got an ankle sprain on the side of the pelvic hike! If not, then you have some ungodly ankle instability..... Anyways.. Try this🤢 (see video) 👌Invert the ankle for 30 seconds on the side that the pelvis is high. 😘Does that make the pelvis more even? 🤗If not, then try to evert the calcaneus of the foot on the opposite side of the pelvic hike.. ❤️Did that make it better. 💩In all likelihood one of these will be the driver and I suggest if it corrects with this, keep doing what corrected it! (That’s some anecdotal science shit there!) N=1, whatever you people like to say! I just call it RESULTS oriented practice! 😁Like it? Love it? (Only two options) Got back pain on one side, do the inversion on the side of the pain then, and eversion on the other. 🙏Tag someone who may like this and if your brain 🧠 just exploded from my stream of consciousness writing style🤗 😡Mobo Out

•After dealing with some hip pain I was forced to cut squats out of my programming entirely. Employing @functionalrangeconditioning mobility techniques I was able to create more joint resiliency and got my hip back to full, pain free function. After a few weeks of training I ended this block with a 325lb squat at 155lb body weight for a PR with absolutely no hip pain or even the slightest amount of discomfort. •There is NO REASON that anyone should be training or moving through pain or discomfort just because they “have to squat” or “have to deadlift”. There is no single type of training or exercise that anyone “has to” do. What does have to been done is ensuring pain free, quality movement as a prerequisite to any training program unless you want to be pushed around your retirement home in a wheel chair by the time you’re 65. PROPER MOVEMENT QUALITY ALWAYS COMES FIRST. Gotta crawl before you can walk.
