I already have given my review on these bad boys but just want to say again how good they are! Only problem is after around an hour or so on uneven ground they become a bit loose and need to be tightened up again but hey I can live with that for training. Definitely not a racing shoe though!

Take it from Watson, he really knows how to take advantage of rest days. (Can you not see that major stretch going on?) Seriously though, rest days are the best medicine for your body. You can eat the foods that you’ve been craving from your previous workout all while relaxing on the sofa and letting those muscles repair through recovery. As a bonus, they give your body the rest it needs in order for your next workout to be just as hyped as the previous. 😄

Let me introduce “Otzi” a 5,300 year old “Copper Age” mummy. He emerged from glacial ice in 1991 with clothing and gear. A fascinating display. So we’re in South Tyrol and I sez “I wonder where Reinhold Messner lives”? Quick Google and the Messner Mountain Museum pops up. What a discovery? Six locations, housed in medieval castles, underground caverns or class cubes atop a peak, tasked with exploring mountains as a cultural dynamic. We visited Firmian in Bozen. It is incredible. B/W photos from the ‘60s of climbing barefoot with 3-strand ropes tied on their waists, artifacts from Messner’s historic ascents of the world’s 8,000m peaks, iconography of the worlds religions and how they reflect our spiritual interactions with mountains. All in this restored castle. We planned to visit more locations but 2 of them aren’t even open yet because of snow levels at their mountaintop locations. But we will catch one more. When I lack motivation I do nothing. I happen to live an extremely non rigid sometimes messy intuitive life ✨

Inspirational, right? Honestly, I personally wish influencers shared what their days really looked like a little bit more but it’s so easy to not. You guys don’t see videos of the workouts I don’t do. And you’re more likely to see pretty vibrant plant foods than my messy ice cream bowl
.
There’s so much pressure to be team #nodaysoff, to follow some sort of diet, to have a morning & nightly routine, & have each day perfectly productive. I still put effort in to make good choices which is how I’ve achieved what I have, but to say I’ve got constant motivation & this whole balance thing figured out would be a massive lie
.
Maybe it is more inspiring to see someone who grinds day in & day out, but it’s also nice to relate to someone with where you’re at right now 🌸

So this is just me being honest, & I hope I can give you guys a more personal look into my life as I want you to know that no matter where you’re at right now, no matter what you’re doing or not doing, at whatever pace- you’re doing it right. You’re doing the best you can & always striving for improvement & that is crazy incredible 🌟🌟🌟

Some cues when lifting.. maintaining a double chin.. why? Some points to consider from Eric Cressey “why you should look up when you lift” ( its funny to see him post an article about since it’s what I am always preaching to my clients 
1️⃣shortening sternocleidomastoid, which is one of the biggest muscular contributors to chronic headaches. 
2️⃣looking to set up an overhead squat or snatch, it's probably not a great idea to encourage downward rotation of the scapula when you need upward rotation for quality overhead motions

3️⃣When you go into upper cervical/head extension, you're shortening levator scapulae, which is a downward rotator of the scapula.
I am always telling my clients to maintain a tucked chin. A tucked chin doesn’t mean looking down which will cause you to round your back. It protects the neck under loads and also will activate the deep neck flexors and that will in return  reduce discomfort in the neck and shoulders especially those who suffer from upper body cross syndrome
