Focus can be an elusive thing sometimes.
For me, coming back from a #bufferretreat is always a mix of emotions and energies. There is the excitement to build and achieve all our goals, and there is the recharged energy of both hanging out with the whole team and coming back home.
On the other side, there is jet lag and the bittersweetness of saying goodbye to many good friends (some of them for a year, some I’ll hopefully see again sooner).
That whirlwind can wreak havoc on my routine and focus. So for me, it’s all about trying my best to stay in line with my schedules as soon as possible, but also having the self-awareness of not forcing myself to do something if I’m not fully feeling it.
As long as I know I’m doing my best, the rest will come. Having trust in your future self is one of the best ways to take good care of your present self, too.
So yeah, the first few days might have been trickier: I’ve randomly been hit by sleepiness during many moments, and I didn’t even unpack my bag until today. But I’ve also made good progress at work, and I’ve even done my fastest and longest run since I started doing cardio a few months ago.
Consistency over perfection, I guess.
After three days on the Umpqua River, I’m feeling the call to reclaim a deeper connection to the Mama Earth and the wisdom she carries, and to the threads that connect each and everyone of us.
Hours spent reflecting by the fire, sweet moments with my beloved in the forest. Medicine songs from the birds and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. I could feel her wisdom filling my soul, as I observed her magic, and witnessed here sheer beauty. .
Today, as I resettle into my apartment, I feel more centered in the work that I am doing. I know that I chose to be here, with all of you, to heal this world, and midwife our communities through the shift into a new paradigm.
Today I prepare this Ritual cup of Cacao to mark the beginning of a new chapter, a new phase in the Journey. .
I take with me only my full heart and what I can carry, everything and everyone else comes on their own accord. .
Our collective wisdom will heal the wounds of with world. The time has come for us to share our soul’s medicine. .

What a morning!
We watched our friends two kids over night and it was a good trail run of what our life might look like in when we get a foster placement sometime next fall.
Baby had us up at 4:15am and just as I laid her back down her big brother woke up 🤦

Working out with a 2 year old went great other than a 💩half way through. My eyes were literally watering it was so bad 🤢
I showered while Stephen got the kids ready.
I'm feeling like we can handle this whole parenting thing but man is it a lot of work!
Full schedule at work today and then home for a date night with my hubby...thinking it might be an early night 😂
🌼It’s finally beautiful weather in toronto!! Now I can enjoy my morning ritual while basking in sunlight 🧡🌟Matcha is my favourite way to kickstart my day! 🍵 A lot of people ask how I get it foamy. I don’t use any collagen because I’m vegan so it’s not that! Literally all I do to get that nice foam is blend it with coconut creamer 💚🌟 so simple and adds the smoothest texture. If you’re looking to get a little more thickness outta your matcha I suggest adding a tablespoon of coconut butter. Hope everyone is having a nice happy day!😊🥥🌴
Six months after being diagnosed with MS , I began to have mobility issues. I couldn't walk longer than 15 minutes before my leg would give out. When I got invited anywhere that required a lot walking , I would have to politely decline. I was ashamed of this debilitating disease. Since I started Juicing, I can now walk for 2 hours straight.
The desire to travel and explore is inherent to our curiosity. The concept of adventure is enthralling. A beautiful thing happens when you open your eyes and spread your wings. Whether you are exploring the intricacies of a new city, or immersing yourself in a forest halfway across the world, you are opening your mind to new perspective. You are opening yourself up for growth and wisdom. Don’t worry about getting lost along the way - the sun will always guide you back home. Godspeed.

Honest to goodness it took me a minute to get on this bus because matcha is well.. gross.
However, when I looked into the health benefits (And got on the "coffee kicking" train) I just couldn't help but think there must be something to this craze.
Then my gal Aga (@herbologie_) stepped in and gave me a taste of her FOCUS blend. Which is the only matcha I like so far. It's not as bitter as everything else I've tasted.
Suddenly I felt like I could do this!

After re-reading for about the 3rd time (back in November) something utterly changed inside of me. I was able to stop the chatter in my head. Since November 2017 I’ve been 99.9% chatter free in my head. The .1% that comes back gets told to bugger off immediately. Simply by living with these 4 rules my life has been magic.⠀
1. Be Impeccable With Your Word- Aka stop talking shit. About yourself and others.⠀
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally-This became the easiest for me somehow even though it seems it would be the hardest one. It’s the old “what Susie says of Sally says more of Susie than of Sally.” ⠀
3. Don’t Make Assumptions- Aka stop being a melodrama enthusiast and making up elaborate stories about situations instead of just COMMUNICATING like a damn human. Get clarity and chill.⠀
4. Always Do Your Best - When you follow the first three this one is a breeze. Do the best you can for yourself and others. Ripple effects are real. It’s ok if your best during the flu is not as good as when you are healthy af. ⠀
