So here is our Easter break project - (paper) Solar system. It's very simple and although far from perfect sizing and colours easy to make as we made it together with Little Miss S*. They are strong enough to be play with, for few days we been discovering planets by size, by weight, By color, been throwing and catching a lot. I tend to stay off my phone during the weekends because I’m often too busy and want to disconnect. This weekend was #EarthDay  and I still wanted to post a little something even though it’s now Monday 😔. I have been trying to put a ton of effort in exposing my children to nature, and hoping with that exposer, they will see the benefit of taking care of this little blue planet we call home. I read a book recently speaking about how we tend to force our children into feeling guilty about taking care of our planet. When in fact it wasn’t really their cause for it’s current state. Yes it’s important to teach about why we should recycle and why we can’t get a balloon every time we go to the grocery store, but I rather have them love nature and see and feel it. With that love comes more compassion and a desire to want to take care of the things they find important. To to care of this little blue planet we call home. In this chapter of my life, I don’t have the time to make it out to our great National Parks, but I can make it out to our local park, lake, and woods. They don’t need much to learn to love nature. 🌎 Happy Earth Day 🌏

I personally don’t see any use for children’s kitchens. We have a real kitchen that the kids can learn in! Instead of letting them pretend to cook, let them help you stir the pot, or clean the cutting board ! They will learn so much more when the pot is hot than make believe ovens.
