Just got these 60 year old laminated reefer sides in the mail! They were made by Laconia and they are in awesome shape. Back when HO scale model railroading was still new, very few ready-to-run models were available so you had to build your own. Laconia made it easier by offering these printed sides. Even though today's models are exquisite, I'm looking forward to building these the old way they were made in the 1950s.
Catenary Progress update. The first set of mast main sections off the cutter today. Just got to cut the outer laserboard layers for them which add the all important detail. #ooscale#oogauge#modelrailway#modeltrains
"A building or a grouping of buildings being used as a scene break could be designed and detailed as completely different buildings from the opposing viewing angle. That’s a great way to make your layout seem bigger than it really is, and who doesn’t want a bigger layout! Impressions of size and scale are not limited to the square footage of your layout surface." -Doug Hodgdon
