Morning, I'm giving myself a good talking to this morning as I'm an artist that is afraid of posting work 🙈 sometimes I don't know how I ever sell anything as I'm so bad at putting myself out there. So this morning I'm sharing one of my favourites 😊 I'm telling you guys so you can hold me accountable when I say I shall post a piece at least once a week 🙈 phew... now back to tea and flowers. Have a great Thursday everyone, nearly the weekend.
“Even Acid Rain Can’t Rinse Away Your Sins”
Mixed media: dirty pour acrylics, oil pastels, papers, ink, on canvas
Pluviophile or not, the rotation of nature, the delicate balance of opposites, are forever at war with our own stormy bypasses. The core of a season can encourage or diminish the state of emotion we are in. We look to sunlight and blue skies for optimism. We follow the trails of waterways from rain with thoughts everlasting. Regrets packed away in mountains of snow, only to be reaped when spring time melts the white piles of anxiety.
The ghosts that harbor in us are not hiding from the world. Just waiting for a safe chance to feel anything. But as they say “When it rains, it pours.” It may feel like a lifetime waiting for that drop of gold, that shimmer of glee, that valuable time spent happily...but at what price? Remember that there is always balance, karma, good/evil, give and take. How far will you go to achieve what you want? How deep will you plunge to acquire what you need?
No one is to say where you should stand cos only you know what truths are absolute...and if we make mistakes believing that, then only we know the prices to pay for it and what was worth giving up.
