It’s been a great ME day. I’m ending my day baking. Not because I have to, but because I love too! I made some Vanilla Butter Cookies. I ate one and I’m going to freeze the rest for when I want a treat sweet. I was asked last weekend how I handle when food cravings hit and my answer surprised most: I indulge. I find a way to make it healthier and I eat it. I’m never strict, I never deprive and I never shame myself. If I want a cookie I’m going to make or buy one that I will enjoy. A processed treat, it’s never worth it for me; not because it’s unhealthy but because I don’t enjoy it. But a piece of my moms gluten free organic homemade chocolate cake, you bet I’m going to eat it. Because I ENJOY it. Do you get the difference? Don’t indulge with what’s in front of you unless you really really enjoy it. And tonight, my healthier homemade hamburger helper and butter cookie was worth it. 💜

This face looks soooo angry but Hunnam but he was just a little nervous.
We try and do everything we can to make your pet feel comfortable. In his case when we had to draw blood, this big guy got wrapped in a towel (kitty burrito!) where he was able to have his face covered.
Found my old college shirt! Reminds me of my freshman year. I was so nervous and determined not to get the freshman 15...I started running.
Now I love running, but I got to running abt 5 miles a day. Eating whatever I wanted but counting calories. It wasn’t healthy by any means but I thought I was on the right track.
I started getting injuries bc my body couldn’t keep up with all that consistent running and sugary eating.
Fast forward to now.
I know sooo much more abt food. And 30 min a day is all I need. No injuries. My eating is much more healthier.
Know better, you do better!
Shout out to Mizzou College of Education!
It’s my once a month ME time for a few days. No homeschooling, no meals to cook for anyone unless I want to for the hubby, no work to do, no expectations, no housework, no plans, no places to be, no stress, just a go with the flow, at home ME time. Whatever I want to do in that moment, that space of time. It’s so important to build YOU time in weekly for a few hours but extended time every few months or monthly. Especially as wives and moms (or even just WOMEN) we are always serving and giving and planning and scheduling and doing and needing and and and.... take some space to breathe. Im 32 and it’s taken me literally 30 years to figure this out. Im a better ME to serve everyone else when I take care of ME. 💙 #youdoyou
