Santa Barbara Mission, aka Queen of the Missions. Built in 1820, it was the 10th of the California missions and operated by Franciscan monks to convert the native Chumash. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, a US National Historic Landmark, and a California Historic Landmark.
I remember the feelings of nervousness about having another baby; wondering how I could love any other child the way I loved Sully. But then this girl came into the world. And it all made sense.
