Yesterday we had a very long and beautiful day! First of all visited the forbidden city, then we went to the Great Wall, then we saw the Mausoleum of Ming's dynasty and at the end we visited the silk market to buy some souvenirs for us and our family. The whole tour was about 12 kilometers of walking so although we did not have training in the water we remained active 😂

Visit to Bengbu 蚌埠 birthplace of the Ming dynasty 明朝 (1368-1644) Zhuyuanzhang 朱元璋， who wanted to make it also Chinas capital after he got himself from a position of a mere monk to the emperor of China. Bengbu is however flat, so not the best choice for a capital, he therefore decided for Nanjing (and his son then moved it to Beijing). We drank 54847 kinds of green tea, Huangshan Maofeng 黄山毛峰，Yuexi Cuilan 岳西翠兰，Anji Baicha 安吉白茶，Wangguangxi Songluo 王光熙松萝，and also some red tea - Meizhan 梅占 etc. and we (unintentionally) took 5487738445 pictures(still not many foreigners come to Bengbu)! What a day!

10966 This rare Ming Dynasty Chi- Lin or horse like mythical animal roof- tile sculpture in "San Cai" Tri-color glaze is a beautiful one regardless that its nose has been damaged and repaired as most of the old roof-tile pieces would have been from coming off the roofs when the old buildings were torn or destroyed. One can still see its proportionally large head, a commonly seen feature of the figures from the Ming Dynasty and some other earlier periods, with a great presence showing a wide open mouth, short ears, and the stocky strong short legs. One can also see the beautiful texture of the aged glaze and clay. This beautiful auspicious beast is strapped with a seat and saddle with draped long fabrics showing that it belonged to a master.
