Many times I hear people say "I want to be happy". And then comes the question many won't know how to answer.
"What does happiness look like to you/what would make you happy?" In order to achieve happiness, we need to first define it. Happiness means different things to everyone and is achieved through different means for everyone.

We sometimes struggle with this because we base our beliefs on things we are told are "keys to happiness" and do things that are told should make us happy. Often times these things fall short of our expectations and we end up disappointed.

Sometimes we lose sight of our personal visions, likes, goals, dislikes. If we don't know what needs to change or happen for us to achieve this how can we work towards achieving this?

To truly reach and achieve happiness 
1. Define it. Happiness is ______
Be as specific as possible.

2. Stop listening only to what others tell you should make you happy.
Is it love? Money? Helping others? A career? Health? A relationship? Travelling? A hobby?

3. Once you know what makes you happy, think about what you're doing to get there. 
What do you need to do?
End a relationship, begin a relationship or spend more time enjoying a relationship?
Take a course? Are you prioritizing it or making excuses? Get a gym membership? Change jobs? Join a class?

4. Enjoy the simple things and set small goals.

Instead of focusing on drastic changes and goals, which can take several months to achieve (what about the months before it happens?) Enjoy daily or weekly victories and accomplishments. This will help you to find happiness in many things and to enjoy the process. So regardless of what happens, you have already been living in the moment and life will be so much more positive that things we thought we needed may not be so important anymore. .

I stopped hitting the gym so much last year and I've learned that was a big mistake. Strength/crosstraining are very important for me. I've learned everybody's body is different so what may work for others may not work for me. I'll definitely be putting in alot more work in the gym this year.

Soooooooo, after the sessions last night, I decided to exhaust my mental with destroying some arm exercises. Im never an ego lifter. I dont move impressive amount of weights and I try to live by muscle mind connection and feel the contractions/squeeze. I was pretty warmed up from the sessions, so all I needed was 1 warm up for the bi's and tri's. After the warm up, pyramid down from heavy to light, more reps with lighter weights. 
After my sessions, the gym is quite empty so I can play music a little higher. I needed this last night. "WE"
In time things improve.  Stay motivated.

This has been me most of this week - chasing sleep, but doing it standing/working/etc. I almost listened to my matter yesterday and called in sick. But I wasn’t sick - and once i forced mind over matter, a few hours in, my body got the message and got into gear! Because when we keep the dream alive in our hearts and want to see it materialise when our eyes are open - we can push ourselves to do things we never thought could be. #keeppushing #mindovermatter #friday #foundersfriday 👩🏾‍💻

Living in California for 4 years introduced me to loud and often bright workout wear. When we moved back to the East Coast last summer, I quickly looked around and remembered just how dark workout clothes are here. Kind of an odd observation but when you’re the only one wearing fluorescent colors year-round, these things stick out 😆 ... Today I wore my new @lornajaneus shorts for my @siss_fit Elevate Week 3 / Day 5 total body workout. My hubby and I both had the same reaction... are we sure they aren’t boxer briefs?! That said, they were A+ on performance and comfort during this workout that put my balance and strength to the test. Once again squat jacks ... you know you’re actively toning when you get to the end of the 4 minute interval and your inner thighs are like, “seriously, this is the last one or you’re not walking for the rest of the day.” I ♥️ that feeling!! Strong legs don’t happen without pushing your muscles beyond the screaming point. End of the day, you almost always can do one more! #fitnegrammer
