I'm finally getting around to accessorizing my church pew. I challenged myself to do it WITHOUT going shopping. 1. I didn't want to spend $$$. 2. I didn't want to load the kids up and go to a store. 3. I wanted it done N.O.W. so I couldn't wait for a Target delivery. Instead, I went shopping in the office, guest bedroom, and kitchen. What do you think? Where in your house could you use a mini-makeover? Challenge yourself to pull from what you already have to revamp a space and send me your before and afters. I'd love to see!

This is a good old stainless steel carrier that you'll mostly remember from back in the day, in the hands of a doodhwala carrying milk door to door. He filled out milk in the personal containers presented to him in each household and the went to the next one. Gives Vintage #puranezamanemein FEELS doesn't it?
The veggie haul brought by my mom was also shopped without accepting any plastic carry bags from any of the vendors. 🤘🏼 What do you assume people did before the widespread use of polythene bags started? Before it was "convenient" for us to arrive at any store empty handed and then come home with several plastic bags full of produce
Tadaa, they lived zero waste!
But they called it normal life of course. 😂
Back in the day, it was simply understood and plain obvious to both, the shopkeeper and the customer, that you BRING YOUR OWN BAG whenever you're out for shopping.
We only need to go back to the oldschool shopping ethics. It's not the norm anymore (thanks to decades of convenience brought to you by single use plastic) , but refuse plastic bags offered by shops, wherever and whenever you can. Sabzi walas really appreciate it too 😉
