This week's Astro #MidCenturyMonday highlights a playful part of our history. Charles Schulz, the beloved creator of Peanuts, the most influential comic strip of all time, chose to relocate to Sebastopol in 1958 and then later to Santa Rosa in 1969 after his studio burnt down. He remained a Santa Rosa resident until his passing in 2000. In the nearly 50 years Peanuts was published there was only one time Schulz took a vacation, marking the only time the Peanuts strip ran reruns. This timeless piece of American history is available at @theastromotel for $995. $250 of the proceeds will go to The Luther Burbank Elementary School PTA. And yes, we can ship it.

We can't help but love the mid-century modern flavor that still remains in parts of #UDallas 's campus, but it started out as a #mcm dream! We've pulled some photos from our 1961 yearbook, featuring the school's second graduating class—first, the game room of the Upperclassmen Men's dorm; students in the library with dresses you could get at Modcloth and glasses that are 100% Warby Parker; and a barrel chair and super skinny tie. #UDallasAlumni , do you remember studying while surrounded by the designs of Ray and Charles Eames, and of Verner Panton? #midcenturymonday#midcenturymodern#librariesofinstagram#design
