These two Boys have changed me forever!
There is a reason I carried and birthed these two earthside and a reason I’m raising them... most of my relationships with men were unhealthy growing up and the things I saw men and boys do to women as a child have been etched into my memory bank!
I had so much work to do then to change my lineage and create a life where I respected myself as a powerful and strong woman who loved myself deeply enough to walk away. I wouldn’t allow myself to be beaten, bullied, abused, or disrespected by men and boys just as I saw happen in my childhood.
There were moments when patterns started to show up in my life with my partners and other men, and I knew if I didn’t make a stand to stop it and value my self worth enough to leave My life May had taken a very different path.
The love that fills my heart, entire body and the depths of my soul when I hold these boys wrapped in my arms is unlike anything I could ever describe or explain, they are my universe, and I want what any mother wants and that’s for them to do life their way with love and compassion. .
But if I am being honest these two boys we raise shine a light on all the work I still need to do on me in letting go of old beliefs and conditioning from my childhood, I really believe these two boys we are raising are honestly my greatest teachers in this lifetime and maybe the next🙈.
I am doing my best everyday to show them love and teach them kindness and compassion, somedays I epically fail and seriously feel like I’m fucking them up completely but I know 1 thing and that’s resilience never goes astray so here’s to raising boys with big hearts and being healthy, for our sons to truly knowing and owning who they are as their own unique souls, to being solid, respectful, honest and kind xoSN🙏🏻💗
Do you sometimes find it hard to breath because you may be suffering from anxiety, sadness or are simply unrelaxed?
Try this now if you do:
Sit back straight on a chair and begin your breathing exercise.
1. Breath in deeply through your nose.
2. Hold your breath and count to 3
3. Breath out all the stored air heavily through your mouth by contracting your abdominals.
4. Repeat till you are feeling relaxed.. Then enjoy a herbal tea once done. 🙏🏽

Flower essences are the imprint of a flower’s unique vibrational healing signature on a carrier solution to assist with restoring imbalances at a higher level, creating emotional and spiritual balance and wellbeing in an individual.
If this all sounds a little fluffy, I too thought the same initially! When I first studied flower essences, I couldn’t understand how they had any effect especially with my background in science.
However after using flower essences in student clinic and then in my own clinic, I had to change my mindset as my clients were having such incredible changes in their own mindsets and reductions in emotional barriers towards their own healing.
Flower essences can be used in children, are in drop dose form, are cost effective and there is no strong taste making compliance high!
We use Australian Bush Flower Essences at Naturological and would love to hear from you if you would be interested in booking in a consultation or hearing more about flower essences.
Make sure every Australian who voted to have the ACWY Vaccine on the NIP sees our Australian children being protected. 🧡 Check out the current FREE Meningococcal Vaccines available throughout Australia below and from July 2018, all children aged 12 months will be able to receive this vaccine FREE! 📆

In the anti-sugar movement, grapes have been given a bit of a bad rap due to their high fructose level. This saddens me as I believe all whole foods, including fruit, have a place and time in a person's life. When you use food as medicine as opposed to taking generic stands, we find that certain foods in certain seasons are literally ripe for the picking.
Grapes are an Autumn fruit so Mother Nature put them on her menu just in time for us to nourish our blood before winter.
According to Professor Lun Wong in his book 'Food for the Seasons', grapes are autumn's strength and energy capsules. They nourish blood, bones and tendons.
Personally, the two fruits that catch my eye when scanning the shelves at present are red grapes and plums. And here in Australia we are in mid-Autumn.
The way I see it is that the key, as with everything, is moderation. It usually just takes a small handful of grapes to do the trick with me. On the other hand I'm sure if I indulged in a 'bowl-full' I'd most likely experience the reverse effects.

Been feeling a bit off this last few days. ☁️ The change of weather often can effect our mind and body. In Ayurveda this is a special time to really nurture and love yourself. 🍁🍋We are just as part of the seasonal change, same as the trees and animals. ▪▪▪ Today I am nourishing myself with a juicy orange and some hot lemongrass and ginger tea. Bliss. This is a little reminder to do something that nourishes your mind, body and soul today. Love Em x x x

This is what I am calling the Triangle of Success. So far I am really good at working hard, I having big dreams but I tend to not give myself the rest I need to do the others as well as I could. My triangle isn’t quite the equilateral (that’s right guys, I listened at school 😉) I would like it to be, but it’s getting there. “Moon time” is upon us. .
Last night was a new moon in Aries and if your menstrual cycle is aligned with the moon phases, you’ll just have come on. .
And even if you haven’t, the dark moon phase is a very inward-focused phase. We tend to be more connected to our subconscious and intuition and less attached to the external world. It is a time to slow down and re-caliberate. .
For me it tends to be a very reflective time. A chance to pause. An opportunity to review what I’ve done over the past month and see how it now feels and what perhaps may need changing for the month ahead. Emphasis here being on the word ‘feel’ as it’s not really an intellectual review time, more of tapping in and noticing what my feelings and deeper knowing is telling me. .
One of my favourite poses in my new moon/menstruation STM restorative sequence is the supported child pose. Just looking at the pose you can see it is very inward focused. It takes our attention off the external world and into our inner world..
Enjoy the new moon blessings 🌙🌙🌙.
Winter is coming, learn how to beat cold and flu’s, boost your immune health with our resident Naturopath @integrumhealth this Thursday night @melbfitperformance at 6:30pm 😃

The word 'cleanse' is very popular in the fitness and health industry. You might think of cleansing the body with a juice cleanse or a detox. What about cleansing our hearts?
The road to a healthier body is found when we let go of all that we have been led to believe we need to become in order to be happy and healthy. Let go of the need to be perfect and take a look at how perfect things already are.
Enjoy the process of moving your body because it feels good. Eat well because it's nourishing, not because you want to lose weight.
Take time to be still, to notice how you breathe and appreciate the body you've been given. Gradually and gently you'll let go of food choices and habits that no longer serve you.
Hey WA! Please SHARE the news that all children aged between 1-4 and 15-19 living in WA, can head to their local GP to get the free ACWY Vaccine. This Vaccine is crucial in protecting the lives of our children, who are most vulnerable to Meningococcal. Download one of our brochures and share it with your community! 🧡💜
Strawberries are still being harvested in Victoria and they are #supertasty and full of #antioxidants ❤️.
When it comes to strawberries they are a highly sprayed crop so it’s best of buy them organic. In the west of Melbourne I highly recommend checking out @plumporganicgrocery - their strawbs are particularly delicious right now and well priced too 🙌🏽

Analysis paralysis // a state of over-thinking a decision to the point you don’t make one!
Overwhelm of information, fear of making the wrong choice and the worry of what other people might think can turn the simple into the complicated and stop us (I say ‘us’ because it happens to all of us at some point in our lives) from taking action and executing our plans. We worry the timing isn’t right, we don’t have all the facts, something bad may happen – the list goes on! So what can we do to break the analysis paralysis?
Prioritise your decisions; we have a limited capacity to make decisions so prioritise the most important ones and make them when you are the most mentally alert.
Set a deadline for research; when you have a decision to make, decide how much time you will spend researching it, work out the consequences of the decision and allocate a reasonable amount of time to make a choice. ‘Ask Google’ can lead to information overwhelm and cause even more confusion so choose a few reliable sources, do your research, stick to your time limit and make a choice.
Be clear about your objectives; if you don’t know 100% what your objective is how will you make a choice? Being clear about what you want to achieve will help you to focus on the information you need to make that decision.
Ask for an opinion; sometimes we get so bogged down in our own decisions it helps to have a fresh perspective. Bouncing ideas off a friend or colleague can help us clarify our thoughts and can provide a different point of view to consider.
Just take the first step; quit seeking ‘perfection’ before you start and just take a small step. This will help you learn what works and what doesn’t and can help you move forward.
Making no decision is the worst decision of all!

Do you feel like everything is aligned perfectly?
Most people we see unfortunately do not have everything in alignment and sometimes the mental and emotional aspects play a major role in their barriers to optimal health.
There are a multitude of ways we can support mental and emotional health - through herbal medicine, nutritional support, flower essences (more on this in tomorrows post) and also by implementing lifestyle changes which can support you.
If you feel you need emotional or mental support to assist your health journey, please be in touch.
Interesting facts with Tahlia || Tahlia is our practise manager and when you don't see her smiling back at you on reception, she is probably behind the scenes doing our wellness hub marketing, social media and photography!⠀
1. I am also a qualified beauty therapist⠀
2. Despite working in a wellness clinic, studying nutrition and having a love for healthy food, I don't enjoy cooking! My fiance cooks all of our meals at home (lucky me). I would much rather style and photograph food than cook it!⠀
3. I have an Australia Shepherd puppy called Mack 🐶⠀
Thanks for sharing Tahlia! #wellnesshub#ourluxtongirls
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? I could definitely take this more of this advice! It’s some great Monday motivation for me. There’s no time like the present, so get started on making those dreams part of your reality. Wishing you all a beautiful and inspirational Monday - Lou xx 📷 via @theleaguewomen
IN BLOOM 🌸 This post goes out to all the pregnant Mumma Bears who woke up this morning feeling tirrrrreeeed! (I’m one of them by the way). I used the snooze button way too many times (and by snooze button, I mean my baby bear who has decided to take up residence in our bed ha ha). How did I get out of my funk this morning? I took five deep grateful breaths before getting out of bed, found time to eat a nourishing breakfast, played some motivating music on the way to work and drank a biiiig cup of chai.... oh and chocolate, I ate some chocolate obviously. Do what you need to do to get through today Mumma’s, no judgement from this Mumma Bear - you are amazing and strong so don’t forget it. Have a beautiful Monday xx Lou
There's so much beauty in the contrasting nature of life. That ebb and flow of nature and gravity can be felt in the deeper needs of the body and soul. I try to tune into this as a tool to nurture my body. To strengthen is to stretch, to run is to walk, to move is to stop. Every movement has an opposing partner that provides a solid foundation to our health and our body. How do you like to move? More importantly how do you find balance to that movement?
We love this quote and it is something to strive for constantly.
In our own personal lives, we would maybe have 1 of 3 P’s down but we are going to keep striving for the rest.
This also relates to your health goals - without these 3 attributes, it is challenging to succeed.
What are your thoughts? How many P’s do you think you succeed at?
