Been thinking about this a lot lately. And what I’ve really come to realize is everyone’s idea of “happy” is so different.
What makes one person happy, may be completely different than another...so who are we to judge? .
I am not kidding you, as I get older I observe the lives of other people and if what they are doing, (even if it’s the complete opposite of what I’m doing), makes them smile. Makes them love life...then who am I to judge? .
You know the saying, “the grass is greener where you water it”, well, let’s water our own grass. And when you, yourself are happier, you’ll also attract more of that.✌🏻♥️☺️
3 weeks ago, I left my busy life in LA to embarked on a 3 month journey across this great country. ✨
My initial goal of working and rewriting my novel during this time has expanded to encompass a much greater purpose — a journey into myself. And this trip has now turned into a pilgrimage of sorts. ✨
I understand Thoreau’s need to seclude himself in the woods to write and the years Tolle spent sitting on park benches reveling in the perfect harmony of every moment. ✨
There is a sense of purpose present on the remotest stretches of the roads I travel. Not a purpose of doing anything at all — how often do we equate purpose with doing? — but one embedded in the perfection of simply being. ✨
There is nothing to do than to be present. The farther I travel, the more I realize that all the answers are always with us. The only place we go to find them is within ourselves. ✨
