I’m in a class right now, a business one at that, and it’s delving deep into relationships which is totally my jam as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Relationships with money particularly. It’s funny how that one impacts our lives! Does it dictate what you can or can’t your spend your time on? What you own? Does it feel like you’ve got enough or that there will never be enough? Does it impact your intimate relationships or who you spend your time with? How you picked your job or career? Let me know, I’d love to hear your thoughts on money or your first memory of money in your family.
“Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning, Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?“ #jrrtolkien#tolkienfan#tolkientribe#Rohan#thetwotowers#marshlands#anglosaxon
The magic of this place is almost impossible to verbalise or capture in a photo!
It's one of the most special places, capable of literally taking my breath away with its natural charm and simplistic beauty! .
After a sllloooowww drive down the long dirt track through the sun drenched marshes of this nature reserve, towards this hidden gem of a place, I was confronted by 2 large hares busily grooming themselves in the middle of the track, i stopped the car, my jaw dropped as I watched them calmly padding about until they decided it was time to let me pass...noone here to share this moment with, just me...and them!! Meanwhile dozens of bright yellow birds urgently flit about the grasslands...swans elegantly cruising up the marshes whilst busy coots plop in and out the wetlands and work amongst the reeds....this place truly IS an oasis for wildlife and only a stone's throw from the bustle of the M20 (although you can't see it or even hear it from here!) .
After a very productive meeting with the owner in this fantastic original barn with its spectacular views across the reserve I had the privilege of a guided tour, with Eleaner, of the 3 huts you can stay in...wow... so characterful and cosy. Overlooking the marshlands, private barbeque areas and even an outdoor bath with one of them😀 THE perfect getaway!
As we walked back to the main barn, passing one of the many waterholes, we were serenaded (as if on cue) by an army of happy singing frogs signalling the warmest day of the year so far and the start of Spring!!!
What an epic start to the day! thank you #elmleynaturereserve and everyone in it!!! I will definitely be booking my stay in your magical space very soon! and very much look forward to collaborating with you in the future! The world needs more places like this! .
Florida marshlands Medicine~ Willing to experience aloneness,
I discover connection everywhere;
Turning to face my fear,
I meet the warrior who lives within;
Opening to my loss,
I gain the embrace of the universe;
Surrendering into emptiness,
I find fullness without end.
Each condition I flee from pursues me,
Each condition I welcome transforms me
And becomes itself transformed
Into its radiant jewel-like essence.
I bow to the one who has made it so,
Who has crafted this Master Game;
To play it is purest delight;
To honor its form – true devotion. ~Jennifer Welwood #marshlands#newmoonrising

There are simple moments of love and devotion we often miss right in front of us.

Good morning Saturday, what a fantastic night it was at #artsandbrass . Spartanburg showed up for us and I am so, so appreciative. It was lovely meeting so many new art collectors and making artist friends 💫 have a wonderful weekend.
High water in a salt marsh.
A renewed marsh where tide water which had been constricted for years, was returned to its original state. The trees in the marsh had encroached for years, but with the salt water once again flowing they have died back. It sounds sad but it is returning to what it was meant to be.
