Past few trips to Mt Baldy I always had blue skies... well yesterday was a bit different. The closer we got to the mountain the denser the fog was.
I was a little disappointed to be honest, as I “sold” the idea of how amazing the view is from the top and etc.
Like life itself there is some bumps in the road that leads you to something “majestic” (like my brother @pedrocolophoto , made fun of me the whole time saying that non stop... lol!).
We hiked 1 mile up in a completely different trail that I’ve done before and the fog was so dense that we hoped to be heading on the right direction.
We actually contemplated to ride the lift up because the fog was so bad... but we actually decided to keep going.
After a steep stretch on the trail we were able to find the fire road (which is wider and less steep) and when we looked up we saw some blue trying to peak out of the fog.
As we headed up for a couple more hundred feet nature gave us a hell of a show... we saw the fog clearing up and the blue skies giving us his magic.
An amazing price to pay... and an awesome feeling to have to be on the top of the clouds.
The clouds in the horizon and between the mountains was a perfect scenario to have for Saturday Sunset with the best company.
Thank you for coming out and share this moment with me.
I love you both!
