Getting your pompom on. Such a good snap from this last week of weavers. Our studio is SO glorious in the sun, kick your shoes off, pick up some bright cottons and get into it. #excitedforsummer#summer
Beautiful and simple styling by @kiraandkira featuring my art from the “Waterfall” series which sold on the morning of release. Thanks also for your amazing feedback regarding this series. Happy Sunday! ❤️
Sunday Funday! I love a good splash of colour. Today while Rhyce is building our kitchen storage + cabinets (pics to come) I’m testing colours and texture paste combinations for a piece I’m going to paint on one of the walls in the bus. Any colour suggestions? 👇 drop them in the comments 🎨🚌
Today's prompt for #MeettheFather is GIFTS: I have been pondering this all day. Years ago I did a 'spiritual gifts' course at the church I was attending. The result was not surprising to me - creative communication and helping....I felt comfortable in the knowledge that I was already serving in the areas where I was gifted and that was that. But looking back, it was perhaps a little unhelpful. The word 'gift' can mean many things - I have natural abilities and God-given talents which I see as gifts, but the Spirit gives us very specific gifts when needed to encourage and bless fellow believers. Is there a dividing line between gifts and talents? I like to think they work together, and they both need nurturing. We need to develop our abilities and talents for the glory of God, but we also need to cultivate an openness to the work of the Spirit and be ready to receive the gifts that we are given and use them wisely.
Doshi Levien and Kvadrat present two new vibrant upholstery textiles, Raas and Lila with an exceptional colour story. The studio mixed over a 100 gouache colours by hand, and then hand-painted them onto paper samples. These were used as reference in production to dye the yarn with great accuracy – resulting in sophisticated, elegant colours that cannot be found in any existing colour systems. Launch at Salone del Mobile 2018. @doshilevien @kvadrattextiles @isaloniofficial #kvadratcreate#lovecolour#doshilevien
